David and Lucy were set on their dream wedding in Spain. After having met on the tropical island of Fiji where David, from Australia, taught Lucy, from the UK,’how to scuba dive. They fell in love and soon became engaged.

After much research Lucie and David decided that Spain would be the ideal wedding destination to marry and where all of their family and friends from the UK & Australia could celebrate with them.

They spent months looking for their wedding venue however they couldn’t find anything that suited their vision until Scott sent details of a hidden gem; a wedding venue tucked away in the Mijas countryside. The private wedding villa in Mijas ticked all their boxes and within a week they were flying out to Spain to meet the Sunshine Weddings Spain team to view their dream wedding venue.

And so the wedding arrangements began with August set as the month to marry, perfect for the Australians who are used to the heat and warm weather, and with it being a trip of a lifetime for many of their Aussie guests they began organising fun activities and a BBQ beach party which soon became the signature of their wedding.

80 friends and family flew out from all corners of the world to watch the Sunshine Weddings Spain bride and groom marry at the traditional church in Mijas, with support from Patrick the classical guitarist who added to the ambience and feel of their Spanish wedding ceremony.

After the wedding service everyone took a short drive through the Spanish landscape arriving at David and Lucy’s wedding reception venue in Mijas. The beautiful surroundings, and the private wedding villa blew the guests away, where they were met by musical Spanish flamenco played on guitar by Matt.
