Vintage Wedding In Mallorca Spain…

Rustic Farmhouse in Spain’s Mallorca.

In Part 1 we met Lucy and Antoon, a British couple wanting to get married in Mallorca. For their preliminary Pre-Wedding Venue Tour we showed them around three magnificent rustic Spanish Fincas, and it was the second one on our list and their Michelin Starred food tasting experience that sealed the deal for their perfect wedding in Mallorca.

As wedding planners we like to be flexible and involve our brides as much as possible. Lucy really wanted to be hands-on, which we fully respected, even though some of our other brides are happy to hand the reigns over to us. Lucy and I worked in tandem and together we found the best service providers in Mallorca that suited her budget and wedding style.

The big day arrived and Lucy was so excited to see her wedding come to life. She arrived at the Finca early and began her own transformation. We couldn’t believe that in just one hour, the quickest any of our brides has ever got ready, she walked out of her room looking absolutely beautiful and eager to begin her perfect wedding in Mallorca. Her long fitted dress flowed dramatically behind her and her hair was neatly swept back in an elegant chignon, with her bouquet of cream roses a subtle nod to her elegant yet rustic wedding theme.

Wedding guests were greeted off the private buses that we had organised and enjoyed refreshing lemonade served from a VW Camper Van…which later served as one of the bars for the day. Guests were then ushered to the ceremony area which had been staged in front of the house, complete with a stunning pergola and pretty vintage bird cages hanging from the center and decorating the surrounding trees.

As Lucy and Antoon are Catholic they opted for a religious blessing conducted by Vivien and Ron, formally Bishops in Australia but now living in Mallorca.

Food Tasting - Canapes
Typical Spanish wedding tapas.

Following the ceremony guests enjoyed a drinks reception with canapes in the courtyards accompanied by the melodic sounds of the Spanish guitarist.

Dinner was set out on the large lawn with pretty white centre pieces mixed with glass and candles, completing the romantic pretty look. As the day turned into night, the fairy lights strung in the tress above and the uplighters dotted around the grounds provided a pretty ambient glow.

The couple wanted to enjoy their first dance outside, so we planned for the DJ and a percussionist to get the party started in one of the courtyards, then after midnight (as per Spanish law) the guests moved to the air conditioned party room in the Finca. At 3.30am the final guest left the dance floor and we bussed everyone back to their hotels.

But the fun wasn’t over yet! As well as having a pre-wedding dinner the night before the wedding, the next day Lucy, Antoon and their guests enjoyed a post wedding get together at a beach club to complete their three-day celebration.

What a perfect end to a perfect wedding in Mallorca!
