Rustic Villa Wedding In Barcelona, Spain…
Getting married in Barcelona in one of the most stunning Cities in Europe can only conjure up images of amazing architecture, scrumptious food, beautiful views of the countryside and park land and golden beaches that brush the shores. All the reasons why Verity and Alex chose to have their wedding in Barcelona, Spain.
Elaine who runs the office in Barcelona met Verity and Alex in November last year and took them on their venue tour. The bridal couple picked the most stunning rustic villa wedding venue in Barcelona, set high up in on the edge of a tiny village in the Garraf National Park area. The location of this rustic villa wedding venue in Barcelona is just 15 minutes from the picturesque seaside town of Sitges with its sandy beaches and an abundance of restaurants, and just 40 minutes from the vibrant city of Barcelona. A perfect location for a wedding, and for guests to enjoy all the settings Barcelona has to offer from countryside to beach, to the sights and sounds of the City.
Verity and Alex combined their venue tour with some wedding planning in Barcelona, and Elaine arranged a hair trial for Verity alongside a fabulous food tasting with their wedding caterers in Barcelona who put on a spread especially for the bridal couple. Alex who is a chef, really couldn’t fault the food and instantly fell for the mouth watering menu that their caterers in Barcelona had prepared.
The morning of Verity and Alex’s wedding in Barcelona had arrived and the fun began with Elaine and the team, working hard, as their wedding planners in Barcelona, to make sure that everything was perfect for the days events that lay ahead from the decor, which Verity had made, which were bright pink pom poms hanging from the villa, to the transport, catering and making sure all the guests were being looked after.
Most of the guests stayed at the villa, which sleeps 30, with the remainder staying in the nearby town of Sitges and who took taxi’s to the wedding venue in Barcelona.
The moment had arrived and Verity took the steps down to her groom where wedding guests sat in the ceremony garden perched on 10 church pews. Verity was played into her ceremony by the sounds of a beautiful Spanish guitarist playing “Canon in D”.
Following the touching ceremony, which also involved Verity & Alex’s children, guests enjoyed an Aperitivo round the pool entertained by the guitarist who really added a flavor to this wedding in Barcelona. Everyone took advantage of the surrounding views and style of the rustic villa wedding venue in Barcelona, which was a great backdrop for all the wedding photos.
Dinner was served and as Verity had instructed us as her wedding planners in Barcelona, the table was laid in a romantic long style setting matching perfectly with her dreams of an intimate wedding in Barcelona.
Food was served and consisted of a selection of typical Spanish tapas, followed by a salad and Paella buffet and finished off with mouth-watering desserts. The piste de resistance was their wedding cake, which was made out of cheese and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
All the guests throughout the entire day had fun within the privacy of the surrounding countryside that seemed to go on for miles. Everyone had a sense of freedom to enjoy, and most of all relax, at Verity and Alex’s rustic villa wedding in Barcelona, Spain.
Congratulations Verity and Alex from Elaine and the team at Sunshine Weddings Spain!!!
