Rustic Villa Wedding In Marbella, Spain…
When bridal couples first get engaged and they start to think about planning their wedding, most have an image of a lovely sunny day with their wedding photos set on a stunning green lawn in the countryside, but when they look outside and see grey skies and rain drops tapping on the window, their thoughts often turn to sunnier destinations and holidays abroad, which is exactly what happened when Chantel and Paul when they decided to tie the knot.
They jetted off to sunny Spain flying into Malaga, and travelled just 30 minutes to their family apartment in Marbella. Here they embarked on a complimentary venue tour with one of the wedding planning team from Sunshine Weddings Spain, who had found an absolutely stunning and breathtaking villa wedding venue, just 20 minutes from both the airport and also their holiday home.
Chantelle & Paul’s vision of their wedding in Spain was to have a relaxed wedding with a traditional Andalucian theme, and as soon as they stepped into the grounds of the Hacienda their wishes were answered. With its stunning traditional design and interior, set in the most beautiful gardens with the backdrop of the Mijas mountains, the couple knew they would be blessed with amazing photo’s and a day where the sun would shine through the blue skies with stunning views that would wow their guests; every bride and grooms dream wedding venue.
As the Hacienda had enough accommodation for their close family and friends they decided to book the villa wedding venue for a week to fully enjoy and maximise their fun.
In true Scottish spirit the wholesale alcohol arrived minutes after they entered the gates to ensure the kegs were installed so there was an instant flow of beer for all to enjoy throughout their stay and wedding.
To compliment the setting, Chantel chose a rustic theme with wooden log plynths to sit her table flowers on. Also a fabulous touch, which added much character and charm, was a wheel barrow where welcome drinks of cava and chilled beers were served.
Once Chantel was ready for the procession, all guests were led to another area of the grounds, and where they could enjoy superb views of the Pueblo of Mjjas in the distance.
The ceremony led by Padre Peter, who held a wonderful & fun, yet sentimental, ceremony which was filled with laughs of enjoyment by all the guests.
During the ceremony Paul had organised a duo to play on guitar, and also during the reception where guests enjoyed more cava and home made cocktails prepared at the Hacienda the previous day.
Guests were led past the rustic table plan that listed tables by countries the bridal couple had visited, and then sat down to dine surrounded by blue skies and stunning weather.
Chantel’s sister had the time to make a homemade wedding cake, yet another lovely personal touch to this stunning wedding in Spain.
Following the dinner the duo continued to play for guests until the nightclub room opened before midnight where they could dance and listen to a range of music to keep all ages entertained, and where Chantel and Paul’s wedding guests in Spain partied well into the night.
