SATURDAY MAY 25TH 2013

Hi All

Thanks for logging on to our wedding information page Hopefully this will outline all the necessary details for our special day on Saturday 25th‘May 2013 As you are no doubt aware this is taking place in Spain; the one place where we hope to guarantee the weather!!

The location we have chosen is La Almoraima Hotel, a former convent situated in the middle of what used to be one of the largest privately owned estates in Spain and surrounded by the Los Alcornocales national park at the foot of Castillo de Castellar It was built in the 17th Century and was once owned by the wealthiest man in Cadiz as his country retreat until it was reclaimed by the Spanish Government to repay a very large tax bill The Government has since converted this into the hotel you find today and, whilst not generally known in the UK, it is a very popular Spanish retreat This is one of the reasons we chose this location as it provides the intimacy to create our perfect day The location of the hotel and the surrounding areas are typically Spanish where most of the locals do not speak English, so if you want to brush up on your linguistic skills there is still time to do so!’ Anywhere else on the Costa del Sol the first language is English and you will always get the bloke in the background with the ‘budgie smugglers’ stealing the limelight in all the photos!!!

The easiest airport for most of you to fly into is Malaga, but you will need to check the airline websites detailed below to work out which is the best route for you To try and make things easy for our guests, we are arranging for transport to collect you from Malaga Airport on the Friday and then return you on the Monday The collection and drop times will depend on when the majority of flights are arriving and departing.

If you are arriving or departing outside of these days we would suggest hiring a car We have negotiated special rates with Miguel Giron of Golf Rent-a-Car where all you need to do is mention Sunshine Weddings and our names to obtain these preferential rates You can email Miguel directly at’info@holiday-golf.com.

La Almoraima is about a 90 minute car drive from Malaga Airport along the A-7 towards Cadiz, the main Mediterranean motorway, turning off at the A-405 to Castellar/Ronda or 30 minutes from Gibraltar, where again you head to the A-7 towards Cadiz then the A-405 To speed the journey up from Malaga to about 70 minutes you can use the AP-7, but this is a toll road and will cost about €10 for the trip or you can stick to the A-7 for the more scenic route for free.

If you are planning on exploring the local area during your stay we would strongly recommend hiring a car There are very few local taxis and limited options when on foot For those of you wishing to partake in a round (or two) of golf, we understand there are several reasonable courses in the local area You will however need to arrange your own transport if you are looking to do this.

On Friday 24th, the eve of our wedding, we will be enjoying a glass or two of Sangria and a few tapas dishes at one of the local bars in Castellar de la Frontera from about 7.30pm onwards It would be great if you could join us If we have most of you joining us we will arrange for a shuttle service.

SATURDAY 25th MAY – THE BIG DAY!!

On the big day we are starting proceedings with pre-wedding drinks at La Almoraima at 3.45pm with the wedding service starting at 4.30pm For guests not residing at the main hotel, transportation will be arranged to collect and return you to your hotel on the Saturday (or the early hours of Sunday morning).

We have arranged for exclusive use of La Almoraima from Friday to Monday and have agreed preferential rates for our guests In La Almoraima the prices are fixed for the three-day period, so if you are with us for two or three days the price will be the same.

Once we have received replies to the invitations we will notify you of the room availability at each hotel We have already reserved some rooms, so before you book please contact us and we can advise you where you have been provisionally allocated For those of you staying at the NH Castellar Hotel in the town the rate has again been fixed including breakfast and VAT and there is no minimum number of days you need to stay To book, please email Rachid at’nhcastellar@nh-hotels.com‘and say that you are guests of Adele & Mike on 25th May to receive the reduced rates You will need to give them a credit card number and expiry date to confirm the booking.
