Saturday – we arrive
Sunday – meet at a prearranged restaurant in Frigliana for dinner (details to follow).
Monday – we are planning to have a BBQ and pool party at the villa from 2pm onwards.
Tuesday – beach day in Nerja. Please feel free to chill with us before the big day
Wednesday 15th July – OUR BIG DAY
Ross is planning on playing golf in the morning so any of the boys are welcome to join him.
Thursday – we will be chilling and recovering as “Mr and Mrs” at the villa so please come and join us if you can.
Friday – please join us for dinner at a pre arranged restaurant (details to follow).
Saturday – home time for us.
Details of our wedding day
Ceremony at San Antonio church in Frigiliana 4pm- please arrive by 3.45pm (depending on where our guests are staying we will arrange a mini bus with pick up points and times, details to follow).
After the ceremony there will be money behind the bar at the tapas restaurant in the square to get yourselves a drink whilst photos are being taken.
The buses will then collect guests whilst the bride and groom finish getting photos taken and take you all back to the villa. The villa is called La Roca Rara and is where the meal and reception will take place. The website is www.larocarara.com and here is a map from the website of where it’s located.
Due to the incline up to the villa the largest vehicle that can get up is a 16 seater bus. The 2x 16 seater buses will collect the first group of guests at the pick up point at 6pm sharp (the best men will keep you right).
It will drop guests off at the villa then come back for the next group.
Canapes will be served at the villa at 6.30pm and dinner will be after speeches so around 8.15pm so maybe best to have a late lunch!?
Once we know where all our guests are staying we can provide details of transport home.
We are keen for the men and boys to wear kilts to show off our tradition…without the jackets as we are hoping for sun. Of course this is a personal choice.
As for the girls, there is up to a 10 minute walk on cobbles to the church from the drop off and collection point so bear this in mind when choosing your footwear or bring a bag big enough for a sneaky wee pair of flip flops to change into (hopefully they will come in useful later on the dance floor)

The nearest airport to Nerja is Malaga (AGP). Direct flights are available from most airports.

Malaga Airport is approximately 65km from Nerja, and there are options to travel by bus, taxi, minibus or car hire. It will take roughly 40 minutes by taxi to get from Malaga airport to Nerja town, depending on traffic.
NERJA
Nerja is a seaside resort of sandy coves sheltered by Sierra de Almijara mountains, it is often referred to as “the jewel of costa del sol”. There are over 300 bars and restaurants in Nerja, offering a wide variety of cuisines and to suit every budget!
