We’re so excited to have you be a part of our wedding!!’ Even if you can’t make it to Spain, the fact that we have invited you means that you are a part of the big day.
We have hired out the beautiful Hacienda San Jose in La Cala de Mijas in the Costa del Sol region of Spain We will be checking in on Tuesday, 5 April and checking out on Saturday, 9 April During that time we have lots of fun activities planned for everyone This website will be updated with all of the details.
Tuesday, 5 April 2016 – Arrive, check-in to your accommodation and generally get yourself ready for the fun to start. Take a walk along the beach, get to know your surroundings, its up to you!
Wednesday, 6th – We will be organizing golf and a spa outing for anyone interested or you could spend the day taking in the sights and sounds of the costa del sol, its your choice
In the evening we have arranged a sun-downers and dinner, arrival-get-together at a restaurant right next to the beach.

Thursday, 7th – The big day!!
The ceremony will start at the Hacienda at 15:00, so please ensure to arrive between 14:00 and 14:30.
Friday, 8th – Post-wedding Braai and pool-party at the Hacienda
Menu:
– 100% Beef Burger
– Irish Sausages
– Skewers of Chicken Breast with your choice of glaze
– Mediterranean Vegetables with Chilli and Oregano
– Classic Hand Cut Coleslaw
– Yogurt Dressed Potato Salad with Wholegrain Mustard and Fresh Chives
– Chopped, Mixed Seasonal Salad with Herb Vinaigrette

(assuming we don’t drink all of the alcohol in the Hacienda during the wedding… Ha Ha, not likely)

DRESS CODE – BEACH CHIC
We would like everyone to dress comfortably but still look smart.
Women – Dress, Skirt and cute shirt, trousers/pants are cool too, the ground is hard so you can wear high heels
Men – Tie and/or jacket are not required, Tailored shorts are okay, Smart sandals are okay

The nearest airport is Malaga, which is about 30 km from La Cala de Mijas.

A lovely frontline golf hotel situated 5 minutes from the wedding venue, on the outskirts of Fuengirola. Rates as follows:
- Double/Twin room ( 2 adults ) ….EUR 90 per night
- Single room ( 1 adult )…………….EUR 80 per night
- Junior Suite ( 2 adults )………….EUR 120 per night
Extra bed….25€ per night ( to accommodate a 3rd guest in a Double/Twin room ).

We would recommend a company called Malaga Transfer and have negotiated discounted prices to Mijas Costa as follows:
Standard car (type Ford Mondeo or similar) with capacity for 4 people + 3 medium suitcases: EUR 54.50, which is cheaper than a normal taxi from the airport which is around EUR 70.
In an executive car (type Mercedes E class, Audi A6 or similar) with capacity for 4 people + 3 medium suitcases: EUR 66
