With our wedding taking place in another country we understand that the more information we can provide, the easier it will (hopefully) be to make your arrangements. This website has been set up with that in mind and includes details regarding all aspects of the Wedding.

ITINERARY

Friday 12th September

Tapas & Drinks

To kick off the festivities we thought it would be nice for everyone to get together the night before the big day, to catch up and get to know some of the faces you may have never met!!

We will be going to a tapas bar called Restaurante Virgil. ‘It is in the Plaza Andalucia in Castellar de la Frontera, walking distance from your hotel (see details below). We ate here when we visited in July so can recommend the good food, cold drinks and reasonable prices!

We’ll be at the bar from around 8pm and hope to see as many of you there as possible; please note on your RSVP if you are planning on attending so we can forewarn the bar of our mass arrival!

Saturday 13th September

THE BIG DAY!!

I’m sure by now you will have all realised that we haven’t put the venue information on your invites as we’d like to keep this as much of a secret as possible so that it’s a little surprise for you all on the day!!

The day will kick off with you all being collected from the NH Castellar hotel at 4pm. The ceremony starts at 5pm which will be followed by dinner, drinks and dancing until the early hours!

Taxis can be arranged from the venue back to your hotel when your party feet have given up.

Sunday 14th September

Beach Day

We couldn’t think of a better way to end the celebrations than a day of sun, sea and sangria so we’ve decided to have a day on the beach!

The details for this will be confirmed shortly as we are trying to find the perfect place.

We appreciate that some people may be feeling a little worse for wear the next day so this will be a very chilled “come if you want” day, we are however looking into reserving an area in a restaurant on the beach which serves paella at very reasonable rates, prices for which will be confirmed within the next week or so, please check back here for details. If you could all note on your RSVP if you plan to come along that would be great.

Again if you could note on your RSVP if you intend on joining us for “Beach Day” we’ll be able to give numbers to the restaurant.

TRANSFERS/CAR HIRE

Gibraltar – Transfers

If you are flying into Gibraltar the transfer company we would recommend you use would be Calypso Travel.

The smallest minibus they have is a 22 seater and by law there needs to be a minimum of 8 passengers on the minibus so this would only really be ideal if there were a number of you all travelling on the same flight If you let us know you flight details then we can inform you if there are others who you may be able to join with.

A transfer from Gibraltar Airport to the venue would be �100 per mini bus.

As I’m sure some of you would have seen in the news recently about the issues with the Spanish/Gibraltar border. Therefore please be aware that there could be lengthy queues at the border (currently at around 4 hours). There is also talk of a charge being introduced on the border in the region of €50, this hasn’t happened yet but it’s just something to bear in mind.

Note that this could all change by next September and there be no issues however we thought it best that we highlight it.

Gibraltar – Car Hire

We’re currently in talks with our wedding planner regarding car hire companies from Gibraltar airport and will update this site as soon as we have the information so please check back in a few weeks time.

Malaga – Transfers

We would recommend a company called Malaga Transfer (how original)!

Malaga – Car Hire

We would recommend a company called Holiday Golf. We have used them on numerous occasions and they are really efficient with the bonus of being literally around the corner from the airport.

They will collect you from the airport terminal, drive 5 minutes to the car depot and have your car will already be waiting with a quarter tank of petrol!

ACCOMMODATION

The hotel we are asking everyone to stay in is the NH Castellar. Their website is;

We have chosen this hotel as it is the closest to the venue and also where we will be arranging transport collection from on the wedding day itself (see above).
