Kate and Charlie – Saturday 27th September 2014

Saturday, 27th September 2014

Hola, Thanks for visiting our wedding website. We thought it would be a good idea to have all of the wedding information here in one place – flight, transfer and accommodation information, details on the venue and local area, our plans for the weekend and anything else that we can think of! We are so excited about our wedding and hope that you are able to share this special time with us. If there is anything that we can help with then please email us or call us. Muchas gracias Kate and Charlie Xxx

THE PLANS Friday, 26th September We will be having a meal at local beach restaurant, Beach Bar Bahia, at 7.30pm . This is a 10 – 15 min drive/taxi ride from the wedding venue. We have organised a BBQ set menu with them at a cost of 25 Euros per head (inclusive of one drink). We would be delighted if you could join us to start the celebrations early If you could let us know if you wish to attend by emailing by 31st July, that would be great as we will then confirm final numbers with the restaurant.

Saturday, 27th September’ – THE BIG DAY!! Our wedding will take place at the beautiful Villa Bermeja in the Alcedia valley, Casares, at 13:30 so please make sure you arrive in plenty of time. We’d advise having a big breakfast or an early lunch too! If you let us know where you are staying we will hopefully be able to organise transport with other guests in the area.

Sunday, 28th September We will be holding a BBQ/pool party at the villa the following day at 13:00 so feel free to bring your swimsuit and a towel if you fancy a dip in the pool!

FLIGHTS The closest airport to fly into is Malaga (and it is then around 1.5 hours to travel to Casares). Please visit the following websites to receive information on flight prices/times from Birmingham and East Midlands.

Monarch and Easyjet also fly into Gibraltar from Birmingham if you would prefer to fly there. It is about the same distance to the villa as Malaga although Malaga has more frequent flights.

DIRECTIONS TO THE VILLA From Malaga airport, head down the coast and follow signs for Algeciras Keep to the coast road and go through Estepona and follow signs for Casares The best landmark to find is the Venta Victoria This is a restaurant situated 7.5km along the road MA8300 from Casares Playa to the village of Casares It overlooks Sierra Bermeja with the valley of La Acedia below When you have made your way to this point the following directions are applicable: From the car park of the venta you should head out left carrying on up the hill towards the village of Casares inland. Just after the 8km sign, approximately 0.5km from the venta, you turn right off the tarmac road onto a country track (this is the first right turn after the’Venta) which heads down into the valley of La Acedia. On the track entrance at ground level there is a wooden arrow painted orange – these are the markers directing you to the villa. The track runs for approx 3km – do not turn left or right unless there is a painted arrow pointing you.
