So, after many years of trekking up and down the country, countless miles clocked on planes, trains and automobiles, as well as stints for Kieran in Warrenpoint and Katharine in Cork, we have finally decided to tie the knot!
We have always wanted to celebrate our wedding abroad (preferably in the sunshine!) and, after much deliberation, we have decided to get married in Nerja, Spain.
Some of the most defining moments in our relationship have been in the company of family and good friends – from when we first met in Toronto, Canada in 2005, to our engagement in Turkey in 2011 – so we can’t think of a better way to celebrate our wedding than surrounded by our nearest and dearest.
We realise that for some it might be difficult to travel abroad but, if at all possible, we would love nothing more than for you to join us in celebrating our special day. ”We, and most of our family members, will be arriving in Nerja three days before the wedding on Wednesday 4th September and staying for a week – you are welcome to join us at any time during our stay.

THE PLAN SO FAR…..
Friday 6th September 2013
We hope you will be able to join us for pre-wedding drinks at the terrace on Cochran’s Bar (just off the Balcon in Nerja Town Centre) from 9pm onwards.
Saturday 7th September 2013
The ceremony is at 3pm at Frigiliana Church. Frigiliana is a village approximately 7km from Nerja town centre Buses run from Nerja regularly or if you prefer, taxis are readily available The village itself has some very narrow lanes that vehicles may not be able to drive down so you may need to walk a short distance Ladies, you may wish to wear or bring flat shoes!’ We ask you to be at the bar located directly opposite Frigiliana church by 2.30pm. ”After the ceremony coaches will transport guests to the wedding reception at Hotel Cortijo Bravo It is possible to stay at Hotel Cortijo Bravo on the night of the wedding if you wish . However, we will also be running a bus back to Nerja after the reception.

TRAVEL
The nearest airport to Nerja is Malaga Airport ‘ Direct flights are available through Easyjet and Aer Lingus from Belfast International Airport and Belfast City Airports From Dublin Airport, Aer Lingus and Ryanair fly to Malaga and Aer Lingus also offer flights from Cork Most major airports in England, Scotland and Wales have direct flights to Malaga – please check with your local airport for flight operators.
Malaga Airport is approximately 65km from Nerja and there are options to travel by bus, taxi or hire car.
ACCOMMODATION
We will be staying in Nerja itself during our stay (with the exception of the night of our wedding which we will spend in the hotel where we are having our wedding reception) as are all of our family and members of the wedding party There are lots of options for accommodation in Nerja itself – hotels, guesthouses, self-catering apartments and villas. -However, accommodation does fill up quickly so, if possible, we recommend booking as soon as you can Some useful sites include:
