Hi all, if you are reading this then you will have received an invite for our wedding at the beautiful Hacienda San Jose, Mijas. We are hoping you are all able to join us in Spain to share our special day. The Hacienda has been booked from Monday 1st to Friday 5th August and the ceremony will take place on Wednesday 3rd August. We would like you all to relax and enjoy yourselves as much as possible so we have put together a rough plan for our stay and you are welcome to join in as much or as little as you wish. Obviously it would be good if you good keep the Wednesday free!
Monday – arrive and settle in before going for a meal early evening followed by a few drinks
Tuesday – Mark and I will probably be busy/stressed out so relax and enjoy yourselves however you see fit!
Wednesday – Wedding Day! Please arrive at the venue at 3.30pm for welcome drinks prior to the ceremony at 4pm.
Thursday – BBQ and pool party at the hacienda. Please indicate on the invite if you wish to come to this so we can organise catering etc. We would ask for a small contribution to help with food and drink costs for this. We will provide further details nearer the time.
Friday – say bye bye 🙁
All drinks will be provided throughout the Wedding Day. However after dark, to avoid expensive bar costs, we ask for a contribution of 20 euros per adult and this will ensure all drinks for everyone to celebrate into the night! Let us know your favourite tipple so we can make sure you are all catered for. For anyone not boozing we would just ask for a small contribution to cover soft drinks.

A lovely frontline golf hotel situated 5 minutes from the wedding venue, on the outskirts of Fuengirola, very near Mandy’s mum and dad’s home. Rates as follows:

Gran VIK Hotel 4* – La Cala de Mijas
This front line beach hotel is ideal for families and located within walking distance to all the amenities in the quaint Spanish seaside town. It is just over 5 minutes from the Hacienda. The room rates below are per person per night and include VAT.

The closest areas to the Hacienda are Fuengirola, La Cala and Mijas Costa. Mijas Pueblo is about a 30min drive away.
TRANSPORT
Please note that we will organise a shuttle to pick up guests staying in the area to take them to the Hacienda on the wedding day, and that taxis are easy to order to take you home again at the end of the evening from the Hacienda. More information to come on this before the wedding!

We would recommend a company called Malaga Transfer and have negotiated discounted prices to Mijas Costa as follows:
Standard car (type Ford Mondeo or similar) with capacity for 4 people + 3 medium suitcases: 68 euros
