Hola wedding guests and potential wedding guests!
If you are looking at our website it means that you have bagged yourself an invite to our special wedding day and celebrations in sunny Spain!
We can’t wait to share our special day with you and we hope this website will provide you with all of the information you need. If you have any unanswered questions or queries just give us a ring. We’ll be happy to help, in any way that we can, because we want our special day and preparations to be stress-free.
Our beautiful wedding venue is at Tikitano Beach Restaurant and Lounge. http://tikitano.com/‘ The sea views and surroundings are breath-taking On a clear day you can see Morocco and Gibraltar in the distance. We had the pleasure of seeing both, in April, while menu tasting and sampling the cava and wine.
THE BIG DAY – Thursday 24th July 2014
We have arranged a coach transfer, for all guests, from Hotel H10 Estepona Palace to Tikitano. If all guests could be ready and waiting in reception, at 3pm, the coach will be waiting for your transfer to Tikitano.
On arrival at Tikitano you will be greeted by Lee and the Groomsmen. The shaded terrace bar will be open if you fancied a drink to cool down before our wedding begins.
David Toms, our photographer, will also be there so please feel free to ask for as many pictures taken as possible.
At 3:50pm all guests will be asked to take their seats and wait for the Bride and Bridesmaids to arrive.
Our wedding ceremony begins at 4pm. Get your hankies at the ready!’Lee and Sophie becomes Mr & Mrs. Woohoo…time to party!!
Once the ceremony has finished we would like all guests to follow us to the cocktail terrace. We will all enjoy an hour of entertainment, drinks and canapes.
Once the cocktail hour ends, guests will be taken to their seats and the wedding breakfast will begin. (Please see menu selections below as we need to pre-order individual food choices for the starters, mains and desserts. Children’s menu also included).
After some delicious food and riveting speeches, you will be free to dance the night away. I am currently creating a playlist for the evening so please text, ring or email Sophie with any song requests you have.
We have not arranged transport from Tikitano at the end of the night as I’m sure some of you will want to leave earlier/later than others.
Bar closes at midnight and taxis can be arranged as and when guests need them.
Wedding celebrations – Friday 25th July 2014

Useful information about Estepona and surrounding areas:
Estepona:
Estepona is one of the few coastal towns that has succeeded in maintaining its pueblo charm and character. There are numerous street cafes and tapas bars still serving traditional Spanish delicacies and the steep, cobbled, narrow streets seem more suited to horses than cars. You’ll also find unusual shops and bodegas in Estepona, where you’d least expect them, all very inviting, very friendly – and very cheap!
There are a wide range of things to do in Estepona. First there are the beaches, including two Blue Flag beaches. The H10 Estepona Palace is located next to one of them which is the Playa Del Cristo beach. El Cristo beach has been awarded a European Blue Flag award for its high standards of cleanliness and excellent facilities. It has a good atmosphere with the music playing from Chiringuito Lolailo. The cove and the outer protection wall ensure the sea is warmer than the surrounding waters. It slopes very gently and is very safe for children with lifeguards. The second Blue Flag beach in Estepona is the long sandy La Rada Beach to the East of Estepona marina.
In addition to sunbathing, however, Estepona provides opportunities for golf, with at least five golf courses in the local area (most obviously Estepona Golf).
You can also take the family on day trips to attractions such as Selwo Safari Park, with over 2,000 animals that live in semi-wild conditions.
There is a huge water park in Mijas, which isn’t too far away.
Or if you fancy getting dirty and living on the wild side you can also go on a Buggy Safari in Marbella.
There’s certainly something for every taste in the area, including the Estepona Marina to sit with a drink, watching the world go by, and seeing how the other half live! There is also a market at the marina every Sunday morning selling gifts, leather work, watches, costume jewellery, arts and crafts, presents, novelties, music CD’s and tapes.
If you fancy a spot of shopping in Estepona, most of the shops are situated in the town center on Calle Real or Calle Terraza. There is a wide variety, including boutiques, souvenir shops, delicatessens, stationers and bakeries.
The Paseo Maritimo is a personal favourite of ours to have long walks along the seafront, stopping off for barbequed sardines on skewers and a reviving sangria or ice-cold beer. It is roughly two and a half kilometres long, from near the Carrefour hypermarket in the east (Marbella end) to the port in the west (Gibraltar end). There are bars, restaurants, cafes and children’s parks all the way along and plenty of benches to watch other’s stroll.
There are great transport links from Estepona to nearby Puerto Banus and Marbella. There’s much more to the Costa del Sol than just lazing in the sun! For more useful information and things to do please look at the following websites:
Information for potential guests:
Tikitano needs to know our final guest numbers and food choices by Friday 20th June 2014. Please bear this in mind as if you can make it to our wedding this is the final date we can make amendments.
So far everyone that has booked up is staying at the H10 Estepona Palace. We did actually visit this hotel as a potential wedding venue and it definitely has the wow factor. It also has a wide range of facilities and it is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Estepona.
Everyone in our wedding party has booked a package holiday with Jet2 holidays as they have great deals when booking flights, transfers and accommodation together.
Our wedding planners we can get discounted rates on the following hotels and transfers, as shown below. Information about the different airlines providing flights from Newcastle International Airport are also shown below.
‘H10 Estepona Palace Hotel – 4*
A great family hotel, right on the beach in Estepona and where our wedding celebrations are taking place We have negotiated rates with the hotel as follows:
Please note, to obtain these rates the H10 requires a 5-night minimum stay and the rates might vary according to the dates required.
The hotel’ also offers upgrades on rooms with pool/sea views etc Please visit their website to check the current rates:
Should you wish to book at the above prices please email Susie Gregory’with your names, required dates and a credit card number to reserve the booking at the following email address:
Alternative accommodation
www.booking.com is a great site for alternative hotel accommodation in the area and if you would prefer self-catering accommodation, then please look at www.holidaylettings.co.uk
Transfers
We would recommend a company called Malaga Transfer and have negotiated discounted prices ‘ The price of a normal 4-seater saloon is cheaper than the normal airport taxis You will need to quote Sophie & Lee’s wedding on 24th July 2014 when you book and your contact is Anabel and her details are as follows:
Car Hire
Holiday Golf
The above hire car company is very reliable and reasonably priced Starting with collection from outside Malaga arrivals hall and taken to your car just minutes away and within the airport grounds, this will take away the stress of queuing at car hire counters within the airport and there are no hidden costs like having to pay for a tank of petrol at over-inflated prices Again please mention that you are guests of Sophie & Lee’s wedding party to receive the best prices.
Flights from Newcastle International Airport
The following three airlines fly from NCL and there are a few flights every day.
If you have any queries or questions, feel free to ring or email either of us. Please remember to send through your menu selections and any song requests you have. We can’t wait to see you all in the H10 Estepona Palace and helping us to celebrate our wedding in style at Tikitano!
Buenos dias!
