Flowers have an incredible ability to change the way a wedding feels. They can soften a space, bring colour and texture to a venue, create a sense of occasion and, perhaps most importantly, tell a little story about the couple themselves.
For a destination wedding in Spain, where couples have everything from elegant haciendas and historic cortijos to beautiful gardens and Mediterranean-inspired venues to work with, the possibilities are almost endless. But creating beautiful wedding flowers isn’t simply about choosing a colour palette and ordering a selection of blooms. It is about understanding the space, the season, the couple and the feeling they want to create—and bringing all of those elements together in a way that feels effortless.
That is where an experienced floral designer can make such a difference.
B for Blooms is an independent floral design studio specialising in bespoke florals and décor for weddings and events. Based on the Costa del Sol, B for Blooms takes a contemporary and creative approach to floristry, blending tones, textures, seasonal blooms and unexpected details to create designs that feel personal rather than formulaic. The studio works with everything from cut flowers and dried herbs to fruit and potted plants, with wedding work ranging from intimate arrangements to large-scale floral installations.
Behind B for Blooms is Bradleigh, whose route into floristry began with a career in digital project management before she decided to retrain and pursue something much more hands-on. Classically trained at the Judith Blacklock Flower School in London, she then spent seven years working alongside some of London’s leading wedding and event florists, developing what the company describes as a more wild, contemporary and renegade approach to floral design.
We caught up with Bradleigh to find out more about the story behind B for Blooms, her love of flowers, her approach to wedding styling and why she is always happy to take on something a little bit different.

I’ve always loved design, working with my hands and nature, so when I first started out, floristry seemed to combine all of those things perfectly. I love “love”, so creating floral designs for the most romantic day in someone’s life is essentially my dream job!
That combination of design, nature and creativity is very much at the heart of B for Blooms. With an “alternative eye” for floral and plant styling, the focus is on seasonal blooms and the blending of tones and textures to create something unique.
There is also a real sense of personality behind the business. Rather than treating flowers as an afterthought or simply a decorative addition, the B for Blooms approach is about considering how florals can become part of the overall experience of a wedding. That might mean creating a romantic and intimate setting, designing statement installations that transform a venue, or introducing smaller floral details that tie the whole day together.
The wedding service is deliberately bespoke, with consultations used to understand exactly what each couple wants before an itemised proposal is created. It is about taking the time to understand not just the flowers a couple likes, but the feeling they want to create and how those elements can work together to bring their vision to life.
And perhaps it is that love of weddings themselves that makes the work so personal.

A lifetime ago I was a digital project manager longing to build more tangible things. It may sound like a complete change of direction, but there is actually a natural connection between project management and creating weddings.
A wedding involves countless moving parts, from timings and suppliers to budgets, logistics and an overall creative vision. Floristry adds another layer: translating ideas, photographs and sometimes rather vague descriptions into something tangible that will exist in a physical space for one very important day.
For me, however, the move into floristry was about wanting to create something I could see and touch.
My professional background was followed by formal training at the Judith Blacklock Flower School in Knightsbridge, London. I then spent seven years living and working in London, gaining experience with some of the city’s most exciting wedding and event florists.
That combination of classical training and years spent working in a more contemporary floral environment has helped shape the B for Blooms aesthetic today. Learning the traditional rules gave me the foundation to eventually break them, resulting in a more adaptable and creative approach to floristry.
This journey from digital project management to floral design might seem like an unexpected one, but perhaps there is more of a connection between the two than first meets the eye. Both require creativity, organisation, attention to detail and the ability to take an idea and turn it into something real—and that is exactly what I now love about creating wedding flowers.

I love that flowers and styling can completely transform a space and create a feeling. I love taking a couple’s ideas and vision and turning them into something that feels completely personal to them.
This is perhaps one of the biggest reasons why flowers can play such an important role in wedding design. A venue can be beautiful in its own right, but the right floral styling can completely change the way it looks and feels. A dining table can become an intimate, abundant setting; a ceremony space can feel romantic and atmospheric; an entrance can be transformed into something that immediately sets the tone for the celebration.
For me, it is about looking at the bigger picture and thinking about how all of those elements can work together. I love creating everything from seasonal arrangements and delicate suspended centrepieces to larger-scale floral installations and dramatic archways. Every space is different, so I consider the venue, the light, the surroundings and, of course, the couple themselves, rather than simply adding flowers for the sake of it.
For weddings, that philosophy means looking beyond the bouquet.
The flowers can become part of the ceremony, tablescape, entrance, reception and wider styling, creating a visual thread that runs throughout the day. Because each design is bespoke, I can adapt the flowers and styling to the couple rather than the other way around. For me, that is what makes the process so rewarding—taking an idea that starts in a couple’s imagination and seeing it come to life around them on their wedding day.

B for Blooms is all about a modern, effortlessly beautiful style, with a love for asymmetry, natural movement and unexpected details. Our approach is personal and thoughtful — we take the time to understand each couple and their vision, while being meticulous about every detail.
For me, modern wedding floristry doesn’t necessarily have to mean minimalist or stripped back. It can be abundant, colourful, wild and playful while still feeling considered. I love using asymmetry and natural movement to create arrangements that feel relaxed rather than overly structured.
I also really enjoy working with texture and bringing unexpected elements into my designs. Alongside traditional cut flowers, I like using dried herbs, fruit, potted plants and other natural elements, depending on the overall look we are trying to achieve.
This gives couples plenty of options if they want their wedding flowers to feel a little different. I don’t think floral design needs to follow a set formula, and I enjoy finding different ways to use flowers throughout a wedding.
Perhaps it is a table filled with seasonal flowers that run naturally along its length, a ceremony installation that makes an impact without feeling too formal, or an unexpected combination of flowers and foliage that adds something different to the styling.
Ultimately, the emphasis is always on creating something that feels like their wedding. I want each couple to look around on the day and feel that the flowers and styling are a true reflection of them, rather than something that could have been created for anyone.

Everything from a vintage car exploding with flowers to car sized parrots created entirely with florals, we love unusual or challenging!
I definitely enjoy the more unusual briefs. For me, one of the best things about working in floristry is that there really aren’t many rules about what you can create. If a couple has an idea that feels a little different, I’m always happy to explore it and see how we can make it work.
While many couples start their floral planning with the more traditional elements—a bridal bouquet, buttonholes, ceremony flowers and table arrangements—there is so much more that flowers can bring to a wedding.
I love working on designs that are a little more unexpected, whether that is a statement installation, an unusual floral detail or something completely bespoke to the couple. I work on both smaller weddings and larger events, so the scale can vary hugely depending on the brief and the space.
For couples getting married in Spain, I also think there is a lot of inspiration to be found in the surroundings. The architecture, gardens, natural landscape and light can all influence the way I approach a design.
I like to consider how the flowers will work with the venue rather than simply adding them on top. That might mean complementing an existing garden, bringing some of the surrounding landscape into the styling, or creating something that makes a particular space feel completely different.
Ultimately, I want the flowers to feel personal to the couple and appropriate for the setting. So if you have an idea that sounds slightly unusual, it’s definitely worth asking!

I love spending time with my family, we hike, we beach and we get together with friends, and if I ever get the time, I guilty pleasure watch bad reality TV. A pretty perfect combination for life on the Costa del Sol!
There is something wonderfully personal about wedding flowers. Long after the cake has been eaten, the music has stopped and the last guests have headed home, photographs of the flowers remain as part of the memories of the day.
For B for Blooms, that is what makes the work so rewarding. The aim isn’t simply to create something pretty, but to understand the people behind the wedding and translate their personalities, ideas and surroundings into floral design.
Whether that means an elegant bouquet, a beautifully styled tablescape, an abundant ceremony installation or something completely unexpected, the focus remains on creating something personal, thoughtful and a little bit different.
And perhaps that is exactly what you want from your wedding flowers in Spain: not something that looks like everyone else’s, but something that feels unmistakably you.
