The elderly, those with walking difficulties and people with pushchairs may find sand and pebbles difficult to navigate – so perhaps opt for a venue that has stunning views of the beach, but with firmer ground.

So instead of spending your budget on lavish floral decorations, why not think about having candles dotted around the venue. 3. Do think about the weather

The south of Spain is famed for offering sun over 300 days of the year, which means that your big day will most likely be a hot one. You may be tempted to get lots of sunbathing in before hand, but burnt skin doesn’t look great in wedding photos. So take it easy. Also, make sure you provide plenty of shade and seating during the ceremony. Choose a cooler time of day for your service (sunset ceremonies are always a great idea and make for fantastic photos) and ensure there are drinks before and after to keep your guests hydrated.
