  1. Flight in a light aircraft

For an unforgettable piloting adventure above the Costa del Sol’s endless golden beaches, you can take to the skies at Vélez-Málaga Airport – just 36 minutes from Malaga Airport by car.

There you will be able to glide through the sky in a Cessna 172, which comes equipped with a dual control, allowing you to take the controls and pilot the plane yourself.

There are four route options to choose from, ranging from 20 minutes to 1 hour in length where you can enjoy spectacular views of the local landscape.

The perfect day out for anyone who’s ever dreamed of being a pilot!

  1. Hot air balloon flight

Another one for those intrepid souls who aren’t afraid of soaring above the clouds…

Flying in a hot air balloon is an unforgettable experience and the landscape of southern Spain, seen from the dizzy heights in a weightless hot-air balloon, is just as spectacular.

Take to the skies and see Malaga’s diverse natural landscapes and different ecosystems from a unique perspective. The combination of clear blue skies above and the pretty Andalusian terrain, dotted with white-washed villages below will leave you feeling like you’re floating in heaven.

Weather permitting, there are daily passenger flights in Ronda and Antequera.

  1. Jet ski.

For those more seafaring guests, a jet skis tour is one of the best ways to experience the beautiful Costa del Sol at sea level.

One of the most popular places to hire out a jet ski is along the beautiful coast of Marbella, where you can ride by yourself or with a partner, and discover one of the most famous Spanish coastal cities as you zip along the sea.

From the water you can even observe Antonio Banderas’ spectacular house and, occasionally, you may even be escorted by dolphins.

  1. Rafting

For an adrenaline rush with a splash, try rafting in Malaga’s Rio Genil. If you’re a water sports lover, you will be in your element as you paddle down the Genil river and its rapids in a pneumatic raft which can accommodate 7 of your guests. The perfect way to spend a fun day with your nearest and dearest, and though thrills are guaranteed, it’s not a risky activity. All you have to do is paddle and enjoy the ride.

  1. Bungee jumping

This one is not for the faint-hearted, in fact bungee jumping has joined the ranks of surfboarding, skateboarding, and sky surfing as an extreme sport. But if you’re a hard-core, thrill-seeker looking for an adrenaline rush in Malaga, then check out the only bridge where you can practice bungee jumping in the province, La Ventanilla bridge in Ronda. The Ventanilla bridge in Ronda has a 9 meters jump above a dry riverbed. Jumps are usually organised every Sunday.

Bungee jumping is considered an extreme sport and is not for the faint-hearted.

Thanks to the great diversity of its landscapes, coastal strip and sunny weather, Malaga is not only a top destination for a wedding abroad, but is also becoming one of the best places in Europe to enjoy adventure sports.

So, as you see, there is plenty more to do at a destination wedding other than simply attending the wedlock, and your guests will love the chance to participate in a few pre-wedding events. For more information, reach out to the team at Sunshine Weddings Spain today.
