Welcome to this 18th century old villa, which opens its doors to celebrate the wedding of your dreams in its romantic grounds…
Imagine wowing your guests by saying “I do” at the most exquisite and perhaps most grand villa there is in the heart of Andalucia’s Costa del Sol. Nestled in an incomparable setting, this exclusive property surrounded by a 3-acre garden, makes the ideal location to celebrate your wedding day. A spacious property which has room for up to 300 family and friends to enjoy your special day.
If you want to envisage with even more detail how a wedding at this grand venue in Southern Spain could be, read on as we walk through Sarah and Alexsi’s magical day which took place at this picturesque estate on a sublime summer’s day late August.
By the entrance gates of this private villa, the guests were invited to a welcome drink of refreshing Sangria, beer or soft drinks whilst enjoying the classical sound of a string trio which added an extra touch of elegance to the already chic setting.
From there the guests enjoyed views of the tropical gardens and 21 towering palm trees which served to guide the guests to the ceremony area.
Surrounded by exotic, well-tended gardens including a century-old araucaria, the ceremony area had been set-up with red rose petals on the grass lining the outdoor wedding aisle which led to a nude-draped bridal arch decorated with three bridal bouquets with draping foliage including roses and hydrangeas, making the most romantic of backdrop for the day’s wedding vows to be taken.
To the classical sound of “Canon In D Major” the stunning bride made her entrance and glided down the aisle towards the whimsical bridal arch to where the dashing groom stood waiting. There, surrounded by friends and family the emotive wedding vows were said led by Finnish Priest Jarmo Karjalainen.
Following on from the ceremony, which finished with the string trio playing Smash Mouth “I’m A Believer.” Sarah and Alexsi, now as husband and wife joined their guests by the palm-lined swimming pool, a perfect spot for guests to mingle while enjoying some refreshments and a selection of appetising canopies including: mini beef steak on a garlic croûte with Hollandaise sauce, crostini with bresaola, aromatic pickled beetroot & horseradish, mini cherry tomato & goats cheese tartlets. Once they finished those, they went on to enjoy some chicken satay pinchitos with peanut sauce and spiced mini fish cakes with tomato & coriander salsa. All the while listening to the classical string trio who continued to add vitality, warmth and intimacy to the wedding reception.
The courtyard’s central outdoor fountain added a southern Spanish allure to the rustic décor of the wedding breakfast tablescape, rustic wedding chairs dressed up with soft peach rustic boho sashes. There, with views to the sweeping well-tended lawn, groves of fig, citrus and avocado the guests were seated and enjoyed an exquisite, yet casual outdoor dining experience where they were offered a choice of lobster salad with coriander, chilli and mango or a summer veggie ceviche for starters followed by mains of beef fillet wrapped in pancetta with parisienne potatoes, salsa dragoncello sauce or a vegetarian option of pumpkin ricotta raviolis with crispy sage butter. With a heavenly lemon meringue pie to finish off the scrumptious meal.
And whilst the wedding guests enjoyed this moment of merriment, Sarah and Alexsi enjoyed a moment to immortalise the magic of the day with some pre-sunset photos taken by the talented professional love-chaser duo Eloy Muñoz & Aleksandra Foit.
As dusk settled, all the guests were invited for the cutting of the traditional 3-tiers cake, a mouthwatering raspberry and white chocolate cake with lemon butter cream and lemon curd, a cakealicious treat for all made by brilliant cake baker Louise.
After such a feast it was time to burn off some calories with five hours of dancing to a catchy playlist, including plenty of 90s pop and alternative rock, on a special dance floor decorated with twinkling fairy lights setup between the pool and a chill out area. A moment that commenced with the newlyweds’ romantic first dance to Rudimental “Feel the love”.
The party then continued, with everyone dancing and mingling into the small hours enjoying to the very last minute this wedding set in the most romantic gardenesque.
Liza on hair and make-up, Eloy Muñoz & Aleksandra Foit for sharing these incredible photos with us, cake baker Louise for the scrumptious wedding cake and Karen for her bespoke floral designs.
