A wedding in a garden is one of the most popular summer weddings for bridal couples looking to get married in Spain.

Fortunately, some of the most wonderful gardens to get married in summer are in Malaga, southern Spain.

Ashley and Daniel, the protagonists of today’s bridal story, dreamed of just that, a romantic mid-day summer garden wedding—a sentimental day in the sunshine as we are about to discover.

Let the magic begin…

The bridal preparations commenced early in the morning, with the fabulous bridal hairstylist, Natalie, and makeup artist, Kerstin, arriving at the Bridal suite at 8am. As the girl gang enjoyed their pampering and bridal preparations got underway, activity started to buzz. The wonderful florist, Karen, arrived armed with the striking wedding bouquets, button holes for the groomsmen and decorative corsages for the ladies. Followed by the talented photographer Rebecca Davidson who went directly to the bridal suite and started immortalising the adoring and emotive moments of the day.

Effortlessly beautiful and timeless…

Meanwhile the ceremony area, at the grounds of a typical Spanish finca, located just five minutes from Marbella city centre—with panoramic views of the Costa del Sol’s sparkling coastline—was set up with six rows of rustic white seats on either side of the outdoor aisle ready for all the guests the moment the ceremony commenced.

Before being seated, all the guests were invited to a welcome drink at a Cava station and enjoyed a moment of instrumental music playing by the accomplished violinist Annya.

It was time for the magic to continue weaving through the day…

Beneath a beautifully decorated floral 4-post arbor, with white and ivory features, elegantly draped in white fabric, the handsome groom awaited for the beautiful bride to make her appearance.

Looking radiant the bride emerged, escorted down the aisle on the arm of her father, where, under the romantic setting of the wedding arbor, the young couple were joined by wedding minister, Gareth, who performed the official declaration of marriage full of emotional and personal moments.

A summer wedding, personalised from beginning to end…

The surrounding verdant green garden added to the fairy-tale vibe of the ceremony set-up and with the warm summer sun’s rays shining down, the setting couldn’t have been more idyllic.

After a romantic recessional dance to ColdPlay, “Sky full of stars”, Ashley and Daniel, now as husband and wife joined their guests on the upper side terrace, surrounded by lush expanses of grass, and stunning views of the glittering coastline, for some refreshments and a selection of cold and hot canopies including an assortment of Iberian Hams and cheeses, Iberian BBQ skewers, Thai chicken fingers and cod fritters, with special attention by the top quality catering service, Alabardero Catering, in charge of personalising the wedding menu, that there were no nuts in an food served at the wedding, as both the groom and his sister suffered from a serious nut allergy.

The garden boasts multiple spaces for stunning photo opportunities…

Whilst the guests continued to savour the canopies and a chilled set by Annya, the newlyweds enjoyed a private photo session, on the venue’s exotic landscaped area, with Rebecca who captured more amazingly magical wedding day moments.

The bridal party were then invited to a covered lounge facing the glittering Mediterranean sea, with capacity for about 450 guests, and were treated to a flavoursome BBQ Buffet Station, including plenty of helpings of Iberian presa, chicken churrasco, beef entrecote (cooked medium to well done), Homemade sausages and chicken wings, followed by a scrumptious lemon tart with pineapple carpaccio and red pepper coulis.

The traditional cake cutting took place on a ceremony table under a pergola which made another great photo opportunity for Rebecca to snap before it was time to hit the dance floor.

A magical evening swinging to a catchy playlist…

The party started outside with the newlyweds enjoyed their first dance to “One Touch” by Jess Glynne before they were whisked off for some stunning pre-sunset snaps where the sun’s soft golden evening rays provided the perfect romantic lighting and cue for an eight-hour open bar to begin.

There the bride, groom and guests partied the night away to a catchy playlist at the hands of the amazing DJ Fuller and late night snacks saw everyone through to 1am sealing the most magical and unforgettable of days.
