Delve into the timeless allure of an aged Andalusian farmhouse wedding setting as we look back on Oksana and Mark’s special day, celebrated towards the end of last wedding season.
The wedding venue is a modern farmhouse that resembles an old Andalusian dwelling but with the comforts of a boutique hotel. Located in the Malaga countryside, surrounded by subtropical greenery, it can accommodate up to 250 guests and provides all the facilities for on-site ceremonies.
The ceremony unfolded outdoors in the subtropical garden of this charming country house on a tranquil Sunday in early October. Guests gathered in the hotel’s splendid garden area, sipping welcome drinks in the sunshine before moving to the ceremony space.
Accompanied by the melodic notes of Pachelbel’s Canon in D, the bride, radiant in her white gown and veil, walked down the aisle with her father. The groom awaited her under a picturesque garden gazebo, creating an ideal backdrop for the intimate ceremony, personalised with a Handfasting ritual.
The emotional and beautiful ceremony concluded with a musical interlude by Annya & Pelu, a violin and guitarist duo, playing “A Thousand Years” by Cristina Perri, as guests scattered white rose petals over the couple during their recessional.
Following the ceremony, guests savoured canapés and drinks on an Andalusian-style terrace. An array of delectable dishes, including mango garlic cold soup, marinated sardine skewers, crispy prawns with red curry and sweet chili, Málaga sausage tartar with tapenade and cookie, and caramelized onion and almonds, were circulated. Live music by Annya & Pelu, blending Bridgerton-inspired music with pop hits, added an up-beat vibe to the post-ceremony drinks reception.
While the guests mingled, the newlyweds seized the moment for a photoshoot, skillfully captured by Racheal from Balance Photography. In the gentle glow of the Spanish sunset during the magical golden hour, enchanting moments were immortalised.
Guests then settled on the salon terrace for a feast of Spanish cuisine, featuring a succulent Caesar salad with chicken and bacon, followed by chicken breast or young lamb leg, both accompanied by potato gratin with parmesan and pepper skewers and cherry tomatoes. The meal concluded on a sweet note with chocolate coulant and vanilla ice cream.
Amidst this idyllic garden setting, heartfelt, humorous wedding speeches were said, each capturing the essence of the moment. Meanwhile, Racheal continued to weave her magic, immortalising more heartfelt moments before the night unfolded on the dance floor.
The magical day reached its finale with a great party that commenced with the unveiling of a thematic bar and the captivating performance of the Jackie Brown Band. The inaugural dance, choreographed to Bing Crosby and Marilyn Maxwell’s “Two Sleepy People,” set the stage for a night filled with lively dancing. Following the band’s final set, DJ Altman seamlessly took over the musical reins and late-night snacks including wedding cake ensured the celebration remained vibrant well into the early hours. Meanwhile coaches, stationed on-site, provided a safe journey for guests to their respective accommodations, marking the close of an unforgettable celebration.
A sincere thank you goes out to Oksana and Mark for letting us be part of your special day. We wish you all the best in the next chapter of your lives. Gracias also to Racheal from Balance Photography for the stunning captures and to all our providers for their steadfast dedication, hard work, and professionalism in turning dream weddings into reality.
