Tell us a bit about yourself, where are you from and how did you end up in Malaga?

Well, I’m from Fuengirola, a town on the Costa del Sol. I did my musical career in Malaga, and then I spent time in Madrid. But I decided to come back because I love life on the coast!

At what age did you first pick up the violin?

I started playing the violin at the age of 9! So I’ve spent most of my life with the instrument…

Who is your greatest musical inspiration and why?

That is a very difficult question. But I think one of the current violinists I like the most, outside of the classical world, is Lindsey Stirling, for her creativity and her ability to “reinvent” the violin style.

How would you describe your music style?

I consider myself a very versatile violinist. I am interested in both classical music and enrich myself with other musical styles such as pop, folk, singer-songwriter music and… in short, anything that makes me discover new sound universes!

Do you have a planned playlist or are you happy to accommodate a bridal couple’s song requests?

I have a wide repertoire as a result of my long career playing at events (film music, pop and rock covers, classical music, religious music, Spanish/ Irish music…etc.) but I like to continue enriching it by preparing new songs and pieces that bridal couples request for me!

I believe you also collaborate with other musicians, can you tell us a bit about the other musicians, duo / trio combinations you perform with?

Exactly, I like to work with very diverse musical formations, which is why I coordinate my own team of musicians with whom we perform with different ensembles according to the tastes of the client and the characteristics of the event. Among them, violin and guitar or violin and piano duo, string trio and quartet, piano quintet, ensembles with soprano… We also have some more modern formats such as electric violin with musical bases or chill sax. The possibilities are really many and we always enjoy advising clients if they do not have a very precise idea of which one could work best for their specific event.

Do you prefer to perform solo or with other musicians?

Definitely, with other musicians! Logically, the more musicians a musical ensemble has, the more exuberant the result, since a greater number of melodies and harmonies can be performed. Playing in large ensembles is always a real joy.

What is your typical set/ service at a wedding?

We really adjust to what the client needs and requests, but, in general, the most common services are reception of guests, wedding ceremony and cocktail.

How is 2023 shaping up for you? Which up-coming musical events are you most excited about?

2023 is really full of events and performances, so I am very excited! I not only work on weddings and events, but my agenda also includes other types of concerts and recitals. For example, some of the famous Candlelight Concerts.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Definitely, any activity related to the sea. In summer I greatly enjoy combining my musical life with the wonders that life on the coast offers you.
