In a magical setting, flanked by palm trees and fields of olive trees, sits a private and stunning seventeenth century estate, where large lawns and enclosed courtyards provided the perfect setting for the beautiful bridal couple, Rebekah and Grant, to say “I do.”

A traditional finca mansion with countryside views that wowed the bridal couple the very moment they laid their eyes on it. It had everything they had dreamed of, a rustic yet immaculate building, stunning grounds and multiple locations on the site to hold different stages of the wedding day.

One visit to this rustic venue was enough to win Rebekah and Grant over, a special venue, full of peace and tranquility, with just the right touch of character and essence for an intimate and unforgettable wedding day.

Rebekah and Grant, who had met six and a half years ago at a Christmas party, and went on their first date a week later got engaged three years ago on a trip to New York. Despite travelling abroad frequently to many stunning locations, the magical island of Mallorca was where they hoped to commence the first day of the rest of their lives together.

The venue was booked and the date set for a dazzling 2020 summer wedding, but the outbreak of a global pandemic meant that, unfortunately, the wedding couldn’t go ahead as planned.

Scott and his team at Sunshine Weddings Spain seamlessly moved the date to the following year, always positive, despite the ever-changing rules and restrictions, both in Spain and in the UK.

With clear communication, making sure not to miss out on any of the details, Scott was able to help keep the wedding planning excitement alive during the difficult year, allowing the bridal couple to rest assured that they would eventually get the day they had dreamed of.

Then on a glorious summer day, the first Monday of the month of August 2021, it was finally time for Rebekah and Grant’s memorable wedding day to take place.

The beautiful bride arrived at the wedding venue early in the morning to start getting ready, she was placed in the hands of the talented hair and make-up artist, Marta Lula, who also did a fabulous job at helping Rebekah keep her nerves at bay during the pre-bridal preparations.

Rebekah, who opted for an elegant, effortless gown fitted to the waist showing off her curves and highlighting her feminine charms, completed the classic and chic look with natural bridal makeup and cascading loose curls.

She looked absolutely stunning as she left the bridal suite on the arm of her father and made her way to the outdoor garden ceremony where Grant, looking debonair and handsome in his black formal suit, was waiting for her.

A spot of rain on the drive to the luscious grounds had caused Grant some last minute nerves, but seeing the radiant Rebekah walk towards him down the aisle was better than any ray of sunshine, and as if on cue, the clouds cleared and the magnificent day commenced.

A magical and uplifting service followed, and once the vows were said and the rings exchanged, the couple, now as husband and wife, walked back down the aisle of the wonderful outdoor space and joined their family and friends for a delicious selection of drinks and wide range of canapes including scrumptious Iberican ham croquettes, wild mushroom and truffle cannelloni and quail egg with bacon and crispy onions, to name but a few. The refined wedding reception ambience was completed with the vibrant melody of a Spanish guitarist who strummed some up-lifting flamenco-style music.

The mouthwatering main course, a fantastic feast including pork belly with scallops and aged beef fillet, was held in the large garden area in front of the seventeenth century hacienda, which had been decorated with rustic wedding décor. Round tables were dressed with white tablecloth and divine blooms for a simple yet elegant touch.

A place where heartwarming and humorous wedding speeches, led by the groom himself, were said. A special moment, made all the more memorable due to the current situation the world is in. A wedding day, postponed by a year, had finally become reality.

After the wedding breakfast had been served, it was time for Rebekah and Grant to cut their delicious two-tier wedding cake—Swiss buttercream decorated with fresh flowers and olive and lemon sponge with white chocolate filling! A truly fun moment which led perfectly into their first dance.

The first dance was followed by a live DJ and sax set, with the incredibly talented Norbert on sax, a duo who had all the wedding guests, most from Liverpool, Grant’s brother and sister-in-law from Newcastle and an aunt and uncle and some cousins from London, dancing late into the night.

Not only that, the wedding was the finale to a memorial week, where the guests had gathered with Rebekah and Grant for seven days of pre-wedding shenanigans which included lots of fun activities such a pre-party at Balneario in Illetas and a post gathering chill-out at Il Chiringo the day after the wedding.

A thoroughly magical week to be remembered by all.

We wish this lovely couple many years of happiness together! And a massive thank you to the talented Aimee K for the sensational images.
