Today we are delighted to chat with Domingo, founder of BEfotomaton, a photo booth rental in Mallorca and Balearic Islands, and find out a bit more about why a photo booth is the best choice for fun at your wedding!
Hi Domingo, tell us a bit more about yourself, where are you from and how BEfotomaton started?
We are a team of four partners from different professional backgrounds. An architect, a mathematician, an English teacher and a photographer. All from the same family and from a small village in Mallorca (Felanitx and Portocolom). Ten years ago at an informal family meal we joked about the idea of organising a party and taking fun photos, which we did. That party led to another one, and what started out as a hobby and to get a bit of extra weekend pocket money turned out to become our full time job. And soon we grew to become the biggest and perhaps most popular photo booth and video booth rental in the Balearic Islands.
What photo booth packages do you offer at weddings?
We have many services, from the simplest to the most complex photo booth. Here is a summary:
Slim pack economic: Slim Photo booth, the smallest of the family and an all terrain, it takes up very little space (1 square metre). The booth takes photos and prints them instantly, and includes a free inflatable cube!
Totem: This is a very elegant and cool white photo booth. It is our newest product yet fully prepared to offer the best services and was awarded the best photo booth design in 2017.
Elegant vintage booth: We are proud to boast the only photo booth fully adapted for people with reduced mobility. The booth has an elegant, cool and vintage design adaptable to any space and environment. Ideal for all kinds of themes, especially retro and vintage. Its curtains allow naturalness and spontaneity. The careful design of the photo booth and its reduced dimensions make it easy and quick to transport and assemble.
Magic mirror Bemirrow: The photo Booth where any couple can see their dreams. This Photo Booth, with a 60 inch mirror, is where couples say “ Mirror, mirror on the wall who is the most beautiful couple of them all “Decorated with candle sticks and a red carpet… What more could you ask for?!
Photo truck: A photo booth inside a Volkswagen T2 Transporter Truck. This booth is the cutting edge in photo booths, the trendiest one, the VIP in our family.
“New” Phone Befotomaton: Your guests will pick up the receiver and hear the welcome message that you have recorded on the answering machine days before from your home, inviting them to leave their own voice message: talking, shouting , singing, joking around or confessing truths about your past.

Videomaton 360: The most recent craze, crushing it in Las Vegas and all over America. And we are the first to have one in the Balearic Islands. A 360º video booth platform that rotates around while recording videos in Slow Motion format achieving a spectacular result. Your guests get on the platform, it turns 360º around them and they do their best poses. When getting off the platform they will be able to see and send the video via email to their own accounts from our screen. It’s that easy!
Selfie mirror: Get the best selfies of your guests. Give printed photos for them to take home or share on social networks. A new concept of mobile photo booth.

What is the most popular request for weddings?
The most popular is the Totem, with the option of an inflatable cube illuminated with LED lights to make it a closed photo booth, followed closely by the super trendy 360º platform that generates videos in a slow motion format which is very, very fun!
We also have an exclusive package that only we can offer, the TRI COMPLETO: memories in video format + photo + audio messages. The wedding couple will have memories of all their guests in all possible formats.
On average, how long are you at a wedding and when do you set up, during the cocktail hour or after the meal?
Services usually last between two and five hours. For services of more than 100 people we recommend a minimum of three hours. We usually set up to have everything ready when the open bar starts… when the party and disco begins.
That said, some clients like to have our photo booth service available before the ceremony or when the bride and groom are taken for their own photo session.
Will there be an assistant in the booth?
We always have 2 technicians and assistants in our services. We want to give a top quality service!
Are the photo booth accessories included in the standard package?
Yes, accessories such as wigs, hats, funny glasses… are included. Also RC insurance, unlimited printing, signature album, photo personalization, photos in digital format, displacement…
The bride and groom don’t have to worry about anything. We take care of everything, all they have to worry about is posing in front of the camera!
Is there unlimited printing?
YES, everyone will have copies of their photos.
What size are the prints?
We have different sizes and possibilities. But what people prefer the most, for convenience and visibility, are the photo strips. They fit in any pocket or wedding bag, on the fridge at home with a magnet, in the bedroom ceiling… Ahhh, we also provide the photos in digital format, in case someone wants to repeat photos or make enlargements…etc.
Why would you recommend a photo booth experience at a wedding?
Because they are super fun and warrant that guests have a great time. It’s also a way to guarantee that everyone has fun memories to keep of a magical day (the guests with printed photos and the hosts with a signature book full of photos and dedications from their loved ones.
The photo booth brings people together, creates joy, spontaneity and fun. Sometimes there are people who don’t know each other and sit together at the table…they exchange a few words…but when the photo booth arrives they look like lifelong friends!
