Tell us a bit more about yourself and your musical background.

I was born in Nyc ..went to FAME (High School of Music and Art) and have played guitar and piano since forever.

I started playing at coffee houses in Greenwich Village when I was 12.

I heard R&B on my little radio from about 5 years old and only wanted to be a musician.

I went to Berklee College of Music in Boston, when I was 28 I discovered Brazilian music, Jazz… and came to Spain to teach music in Barcelona (El Aula, y Taller de Musics).

Dan also works with two excellent vocalists offering a wide repertoire.

Who is your greatest musical inspiration and why?

Too many to mention, Mozart, I love New Orleans music..Dr John, Brazil..Jobim, JoaoDonato..and, and… Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, The Beatles, Miles…each changed and enlarged music forever!

How did you get into playing at weddings and do you have a preference for which instrument you play at a wedding, guitar or piano?

I’ve been playing at weddings since forever…If I play alone I definitely prefer piano. But if there’s at least a bass player…or band I’m equally at home with guitar or piano.

Dan Roth is equally at home with guitar or piano.

How would you describe your music style and what makes you unique?

Being from Nyc,well I have played all the American styles..R&R, Folk, Reggae, Jazz, Blues…

I also compose a lot. I mostly do pretty accessible Funky-Jazz.

I try to play the right music for the occasion..It’s not the same as a concert by “Dani Roth &Friends”, in a theatre, or a corporate event or wedding.

What are the top 5 most requested songs at weddings?

Ed Sheeran, Louis Capaldi, Adele, Soul, Beatles, Bossa Nova, Moon River, Imagine…

What do you love most about playing at weddings?

It’s great to contribute to their happy day…and add class to the event!

Hobbies..I write, love nature, been 3x to India…the usual!
