The invites went out and all the wedding guests started to book their flights and accommodation. To help guests with where to stay details of 2 beach hotels, located only 10 minutes drive from their wedding venue in Marbella Spain, were provided and which were only a few minutes walk from each other. Due to the size of the group the team at Sunshine Weddings Spain were able to negotiate discounted group rates, which encouraged Maryna & Teddy’s guests to make a holiday of their wedding celebrations.

As Maryna and Teddy had not been able to fly over before booking their venue, they arrived the weekend before the wedding and spent 2 days with Scott meeting all their service providers that would be involved in their wedding celebrations. They spent an exciting and fun filled week-end meeting everyone and getting to know their fabulous beach club wedding venue in Marbella, including having a hair and make up trial and also a delicious food tasting.

Guests were invited to the white party at a beach venue, which the wedding planning team had been asked to recommend as a pre wedding dinner venue, and which was only a 10 minutes stroll from their hotel. Once they arrived they enjoyed a live cooking paella station directly on the beach whilst listening to a saxophonist playing a mixture of jazz and current music favourites.

Sunday June 15th arrived, Teddy & Maryna’s wedding day, and our trusted team of wedding planners began to work and set the wheels in motion. The bride Maryna was able to relax and took advantage of being pampered and styled by Maite, a fabulous hair stylist, and Liza, a brilliant & experienced make up artist, both whom are from southern Spain.

Maryna and Teddy began their wedding in traditional Jewish style, which the team at Sunshine Weddings Spain helped to co ordinate as they had been involved in a number of Jewish weddings, and so knew all the cultural elements that would take place during the day.

With the sound of a violin and pianist playing, guests took their seats and then watched as the procession began. Teddy and his mother entered first, followed by another song for Maryna and her father who all stood under the Chuppah; a white gazeebo representing the home. The ceremony included all the Jewish wedding traditions symbolic of joining a Jewish husband and wife together; from drinking sweet wine from the same cup to breaking the glass which is the final of any Jewish wedding, and at that point all the guests shout Mazeltov (congratulations).

Everyone was now in the mood to party and celebrate, guests gathered around the pool area of the beach club, and enjoyed champagne & canapes whilst being entertained by a Spanish flamenco guitarist who added some authentic Spanish charm to the day’s entertainment.

After their photo’s, the bridal couple made their grand entrance to customary Jewish music played by a violinist, who created the atmosphere for the Jewish Dancing to begin. The men danced together whilst the women whirled Maryna around dancing in traditional style, which set the tone for the rest of the celebrations.

Following the dancing, and once everyone had a chance to cool down, a delicious buffet was served and guests were asked to take their seats at tables decorated in gold and purple, the theme of the day.

Following dinner and speeches, guests moved to their final destination of the evening where the cake was cut, this flowed straight into a soulful motown band playing several sets, and a reappearance of the violinist?who returned during the band breaks to play current dance music to keep the dance floor filled.
