Just one kilometre from the popular Puerto Banús, this hotel provides everything you need for relaxation, including the modern SPA Sensations and the Sea Soul Beach Club. With the crystal-clear blue sea as your backdrop, this hotel is an ideal venue for a beach wedding in Marbella.

Marbella’s unique microclimate, thanks to the protective mountains to the north, ensures pleasant beach weather year-round, making this hotel an excellent choice for your wedding day. Situated on the beautiful Costa del Sol in southern Spain, this luxurious beachfront hotel on the Golden Mile offers a peaceful and tranquil setting, and it was here that Sunshine Weddings meticulously organised every detail for Jessica and Alex’s wedding.

Welcome – by the Bar Area

As guests arrived, they were greeted with a choice of refreshing still water or sangria. Local Spanish guitarist Jose set a relaxed tone with ambient music as guests mingled. Meanwhile, in the bridal suite, the bridal party was finishing hair and makeup, completing preparations by mid-afternoon. Once everything was ready, the groomsmen invited the guests to take their seats in the ceremony area, marking the start of the celebration.

The Ceremony – with Mediterranean views

The ceremony, boasting stunning sea views, was held right on the seafront promenade. One of the best features of this venue, aside from its privileged beachfront location, is its gorgeous ceremony area. Slightly elevated above the beach, it ensured complete privacy for the bridal party and provided a perfect spot for capturing amazing wedding photos. The ceremony area featured a round wedding arbour adorned with white blooms and green leaves, with fishing boats dotting the calm sea in the distance.

For this special occasion, guitarist Jose and singer Amelinde provided elegant and stylish music, adding beauty and sophistication to the event. During the ceremony, led by English-speaking wedding minister Kevin Williams, the duo performed “Dancing in the Moonlight” by Toploader, which created a unique and captivating vibe, and as the ceremony concluded, Amelinde and Jose played “Praise You” by Fatboy Slim, setting an upbeat soundtrack as Jessica and Alex walked back up the aisle, marking the beginning of their new life together.

Post-Ceremony – garden pre-dinner drinks

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed pre-dinner drinks while Amelinde and Jose continued to serenade them against a backdrop of lush greenery and gently swaying palms. Meanwhile, the bride and groom headed off for a photoshoot on the beach, with the twinkling Mediterranean Sea providing a picturesque backdrop. Canapés were served, featuring toast with Iberian ham and tomato tartare, sesame chicken skewers, red pepper bites, and hummus with accompaniments, ensuring guests were both entertained and well-fed as they awaited the next part of the celebration.

The Wedding Feast – Dining and Celebrating into the Early Hours

The bride and groom’s family and friends were invited to take their seats in a breathtaking indoor dining area, where a feast fit for royalty awaited. For the main course, guests had the option of indulging in succulent Iberian pork with rosemary potatoes and mushrooms, or a vegetarian choice of boletus mushroom risotto with wild asparagus and pesto. To top off the meal, heavenly fresh cheesecake and fruit salad were served for dessert.

This beach wedding venue boasts a party room where celebrations carried on until the early hours. Sunset photos were taken throughout the evening, capturing the magical moments of the day. A four-hour open bar and DJ set kept guests entertained late into the night, while a playful photobooth provided opportunities for silly and memorable snapshots.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to Calin from Epic Film Photography for the exquisite wedding photography featured in today’s article, as well as to Jessica and Alex for entrusting us with their special day. Opting for a beachfront wedding in Southern Spain or Mallorca offers a myriad of benefits, creating a magical and unforgettable experience for both you and your guests. Here are some of the advantages:

Exotic Location: Choosing a destination beach wedding in Southern Spain or Mallorca allows you to exchange vows in a breathtaking setting that feels like a true escape from everyday life, whether it’s the pristine beaches of Mallorca or the Mediterranean charm of the Spanish coast.

Intimate Setting: Destination beach weddings often result in smaller guest lists, creating an intimate and personal atmosphere for your celebration. With only your closest family and friends in attendance, you can focus on meaningful connections and create unforgettable memories together.

Extended Celebration: Unlike traditional weddings that often last just one day, destination beach weddings offer the opportunity for an extended celebration. Many couples choose to host welcome parties and post-wedding brunches, allowing for more quality time with loved ones and making the most of your destination experience.

Built-in Honeymoon: One of the biggest perks of a destination beach wedding is the built-in honeymoon. After saying “I do” on the beach, you can seamlessly transition into your honeymoon without the need for additional travel, whether you choose to stay at the wedding venue or explore other nearby destinations.

Unique Cultural Experiences: Getting married in Southern Spain or Mallorca allows you and your guests to immerse yourselves in the local culture and traditions. From sampling regional cuisine to participating in cultural activities, your wedding becomes more than just a celebration—it’s a cultural experience that enriches the entire wedding journey.

Guest Experience: A destination beach wedding provides your guests with the opportunity for a memorable vacation experience. Many resorts offer all-inclusive packages that include accommodations, meals, and entertainment, ensuring that your guests are well taken care of and can focus on enjoying themselves throughout the entire wedding weekend.

Less Stress: Planning a destination beach wedding often means working with a wedding coordinator, like Sunshine Weddings Spain, who specialises in destination weddings. We are experienced in navigating the unique challenges of planning a wedding from afar, allowing you to relax and enjoy the process without the stress of coordinating every detail yourself.

Unforgettable Memories: Above all, a destination beach wedding promises to create unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. From the moment you and your guests arrive at your chosen destination to the final farewell, every moment is filled with love, laughter, and joy against the backdrop of the beautiful beach setting.

In short, a destination beach wedding in Southern Spain or Mallorca offers a unique blend of romance, adventure, and relaxation, providing couples with the opportunity to celebrate their love in a truly unforgettable way.
