Magical wedding in Marbella

Back

Every wedding has its own story, and today we’re delighted to share Claudia and Simon’s magical celebration in southern Spain. Filled with breathtaking scenery and unforgettable moments with family and friends, their wedding was a wonderful example of how a destination wedding can feel both relaxed and deeply personal. From an emotional ceremony to a lively evening of dancing, we’re taking you through every moment of their special day in today’s bridal story feature.

For their wedding on 10th June 2026, Claudia and Simon chose a stunning private estate nestled in the hills just outside Marbella. Surrounded by panoramic views of both the Mediterranean and the Andalusian mountains, the venue provided an unforgettable setting for their celebrations. Once an ancient wheat farm, the estate has been transformed into an exclusive wedding venue while retaining its authentic Andalusian character. From lush gardens and flowing waterfalls to elegant terraces and a spectacular open-air amphitheatre carved into the mountainside, every corner offered a beautiful backdrop for the day.

With their family and friends by their side, Claudia and Simon celebrated their marriage with a wedding that combined Jewish traditions with the stunning surroundings of southern Spain. From the relaxed morning preparations through to the late-night dancing, every part of the day was thoughtfully planned, allowing Claudia and Simon to simply enjoy every moment of becoming husband and wife.

Bridal Preparations—Morning Buzz

The morning began quietly, with Claudia getting ready alongside her mother and bridesmaids. Hair and make-up started early, allowing everyone plenty of time to settle into the day without feeling rushed. Throughout the morning there was a calm atmosphere, with music playing, champagne being poured and the excitement gradually building as more of the bridal party arrived.

While final touches were being made, the Sunshine Weddings Spain coordination team were already onsite overseeing every aspect of the venue setup. Personal items were carefully placed, suppliers were checked in, ceremony spaces prepared and every detail reviewed ahead of guest arrivals.

Across Marbella, Simon spent the morning separately with his closest friends and family. As the afternoon approached, he began getting ready before making the journey to the venue with his father and groomsmen.

Photographer Racheal from Balance Photography then arrived and joined Claudia and then Simon during the final stages of their morning preparations. Claudia enjoyed a special first look with her bridesmaids before leaving for the ceremony, while Simon spent time with his groomsmen as they got ready together. With everyone dressed and in place, it was almost time for the celebrations to begin.

Welcoming Guests—Spanish Terrace

By late afternoon, coaches began arriving with guests, who were welcomed into the gardens with a selection of cold drinks. With temperatures typical of a Spanish June, bottled water, parasols and hand fans were provided to keep everyone comfortable as they enjoyed the beautiful surroundings.

While guests arrived, the Sunshine Weddings Spain team met with Simon, his eight groomsmen and both fathers to run through the ceremony proceedings, ensuring everyone knew exactly where they needed to be. At the same time, a private Tish whisky tasting was hosted for a small group of around 20 guests, complete with ice, water and whisky glasses, offering a unique pre-ceremony experience.

Local Spanish guitarist Nano provided ambient live music throughout the welcome reception, creating a relaxed vibe as guests caught up with family and friends while taking in the panoramic views across the mountains and the Mediterranean. Drinks included beer, soft drinks, water and sparkling water.

Meanwhile, photographer Racheal from Balance Photography gathered Claudia and her bridesmaids for their first look photographs before Phil joined them for a special father-and-daughter moment ahead of the ceremony.

As the scheduled ceremony time approached, the Sunshine Weddings Spain team carried out their final checks before guiding guests from the welcome reception to the ceremony area, making sure everyone was comfortably seated and ready for the arrival of the bridal party.

The Ceremony—Amphitheatre Setting

The ceremony took place in the venue’s impressive open-air amphitheatre, with guests seated on stone terraces overlooking the chuppah below. Framed by cypress trees, colourful floral arrangements and views across the surrounding countryside, it was a memorable setting for Claudia and Simon to exchange their vows.

As guests took their seats, they were asked to put their phones away so they could fully enjoy the ceremony while the photographer and videographer captured each moment. Hand parasols and chilled bottled water were provided to keep everyone comfortable in the warm June sunshine.

The procession began with the younger members of the wedding party, followed by Simon, who made his entrance with his parents. Dressed in a light beige suit with a pale blue shirt, he waited beneath the floral chuppah as the bridesmaids made their way down the aisle in pairs. Claudia then arrived with her father, wearing a timeless A-line gown with a fitted bodice, soft tulle skirt and a long veil, carrying a colourful bouquet that complemented the vibrant ceremony flowers.

Standing beneath the chuppah, the couple were married by their Rabbi in a ceremony that reflected their Jewish faith and family traditions. The service included the traditional blessings, the exchange of rings and the signing of the Ketubah with their chosen witnesses. It concluded with the breaking of the glass, followed by a chorus of “Mazel Tov” from family and friends as Claudia and Simon were officially pronounced husband and wife.

The newlyweds made their way back up the aisle to warm applause before guests followed them towards the gardens to continue the celebrations.

Drinks Reception—Spanish Vibes

Following the ceremony, Claudia and Simon enjoyed a few private moments together inside the villa while refreshments and canapés were brought to them away from the crowds. It gave them a chance to pause, reflect and enjoy the significance of what had just happened before rejoining everyone else.

Outside, guests enjoyed an extensive Spanish-style cocktail hour featuring white sangria, cava, beers, soft drinks and an impressive selection of hot and cold canapés.

The guitarist, Nano, returned with a more upbeat performance, creating a lively but relaxed atmosphere while family photographs were taken around the ceremony space. The surrounding gardens, waterfalls and mountain views provided endless opportunities for photographs without guests ever feeling separated from the celebrations.

As the formal family portraits concluded, Claudia and Simon joined everyone for the remainder of the drinks reception, spending time with guests before the evening moved into dinner.

The Wedding Breakfast—Mountain Views

As the sun slowly began to lower over the Andalusian mountains, guests were invited towards the reception area.

A live music band welcomed Claudia and Simon into the reception before kicking off the evening with traditional Israeli dancing. Guests quickly joined the dance floor, creating a lup-beat vibe and bringing everyone together before the wedding breakfast began. Once everyone had taken their seats, glasses were filled and the first speeches welcomed guests to the evening.

Dinner began with shared antipasti, followed by the main course, with guests enjoying a selection of wines and beers at their tables. Throughout the meal, the live band provided a mix of background music and upbeat sets, helping to maintain the atmosphere without interrupting the evening.

Before the main course was served, Claudia and Simon stepped away with Racheal from Balance Photography for a few sunset portraits, making the most of the evening light and the venue’s mountain and sea views before returning to join their guests.

Dessert was then served before the speeches continued. The Best Man shared stories and memories of Simon, bringing plenty of laughter from the guests, before Simon took to the microphone to thank everyone for joining them in Spain to celebrate their wedding day. It was a fitting way to round off the meal before the evening celebrations continued.

The Evening Celebration—Under the Stars

With formalities complete, attention turned fully towards the dance floor.

Claudia and Simon shared their first dance surrounded by family and friends before everyone was invited to join them. Within moments, the dance floor was full and remained that way for the rest of the evening.

The live band kept the energy high, mixing contemporary favourites with songs that appealed to every generation. Throughout the evening, Israeli dancing returned alongside classic party tracks, ensuring guests from every background felt involved.

As midnight approached, the celebrations moved indoors where the DJ continued the party into the early hours. The transition indoors gave the evening a completely different feel, creating an intimate late-night atmosphere while allowing the celebrations to continue uninterrupted.

Later in the evening, freshly prepared pizzas were served, providing the perfect late-night snack before guests returned to the dance floor for one final round of celebrations. By the time the music finished in the early hours of the morning, it was clear that nobody wanted the day to end.
