A wedding ceremony at Finca La Concepcion is like no other; with 360 degree views of ancient palm trees, avocado plantations and exotic fruit trees, spectacular fountains, historical buildings and total privacy, this splendid manor house will take your breath away.
What’s more, Finca La Concepcion idyllic location, surrounded by the lilac Andalucian mountains and a just a few miles from the sea, is just a brief drive into the centre of town, making it also ideal for those looking for a traditional church wedding ceremony, as was the cases for today’s bridal story featuring the fabulously fun bridal couple, Sarah and Ireland Prop, Finlay (The Viking) Bealham.
Inside a magnificently beautiful church which sits in a pretty square in the middle of old town Marbella, the lovely bridal couple Sarah and Finlay said “I do.”
Beautiful Spanish fans were handed out to the ladies as the guests gathered inside the cooling, 17th century built, beautiful Spanish church. All expectant on the arrival of the radiant bride.
And it was to the entrance song “Luke & Lorelai – Can’t Help Falling in Love” the stunning bride made her grand entrance into the spacious interior of the traditional church.
Surrounded by some 150 friends and family, the majority from Ireland, and to the beautiful service music played by a string quartet, the sentimental vows were said and rings exchanged in an oasis of calm and faith in the midst of the bustling and popular Casco Antiguo.
After the moving service the wedding party made their way to a nearby charming square “Plaza de los Naranjos” that is surrounded by beautiful orange trees, tropical flowers and cobbled streets for a refreshing drink; giving time for the newlyweds with their photographer, the wonderful Talia from Thoroughly Gorgeous, to enjoy a photo session in the old town before heading off to the stunning Finca La Concepcion for a cocktail reception and dinner.
On arrival to the grounds of this stunning finca, the guests were guided to the large terrace by the finca’s outdoor swimming pool for a welcome drink of cava, beers and soft drinks. There they enjoyed a moment of easy mingling serenaded to the sound of contemporary Spanish music at the hands of local guitarist, Jesus, and a delicious selection of canapes including: tiny parmesan and rosemary shortbreads with oven dried cherry tomatoes and feta, spiced mini fish cakes with tomato and coriander salsa, tangy Thai prawn skewers with sweet chilli dipping sauce to name but a few.
The guests were able to enjoy a relaxed moment mingling in the landscaped areas, rich in tropical flowers and hidden corners where a giant water feature can also be found. A dynamite combination which also served as the most romantic of backdrops for Talia to continue capturing some more amazing magical moments of the day.
A flavoursome feast, which included a gourmet Argentinian Beef with a pepper, chipotle coriander and lime salsa, roasted parmentier potatoes and asparagus as one of the main options, followed by a desert Trio of chocolate truffle cake, mojito fruit salad and mini crème brûlée, was then served on the far corner of the lush verdant garden.
If the gardens looked like a dream during the day, as night settled, an even more magical scene unfolded. Uplighters all around the perimeter of the garden sparkled into life as did tea lights around the central fountain, and fire torches creating a magical nocturnal fairyland for the after party which commenced with the traditional cake cutting followed by the opening first dance to the Temptations ‘my girl’, fabulously played by popular Costa del Sol music band Monkey Tennis.
After a one hour set of live music, Dj Pedas took over and ensured, with his catchy playlist and the help of an open bar and late night snacks, that a great night was had by all in this romantic hideaway that has everything needed for a truly memorable celebration.
A huge thank you to the lovely bridal couple for trusting in us with the planning of their magical day and of course to Talia for the use of these incredible images.
