Dream Villa Wedding Venue in Marbella: Eleanor and Rory’s Perfect Day…
The sun-kissed coastal town of Marbella played host to Eleanor and Rory this spring in one of the most beautiful early season weddings.
After considering several venue options guided by the Sunshine Weddings team, the couple quickly decided on this stunning Marbella villa—on the top of a mountain in Ojen overlooking the Costa del Sol—which had stolen their hearts! And not surprisingly so either, given that this villa is a marvel. Set in delightfully tranquil lush gardens in a private location, with amazing sea views over the coast of Marbella, this dreamy venue is made for fairytale weddings.
This stunning villa-style property was made to host weddings and celebrations, gifting a unique and special backdrop for a bridal couple to exchange their vows in the presence of family and friends. It also ticks many boxes when it comes to holding a medium to large sized wedding, with space for 300 guests.
The beautiful ceremony was held in an outdoor area at the top of a wonderful garden pathway tiered with lush green planting. There, amid the glorious natural backdrop of the villa’s gardens, the bridal couple, surrounded by an oasis of verdant plants and all their loved ones, were joined as husband and wife in a touching ceremony led by Costa del Sol based Humanist Minister Jeff Gurner.
Add a Bohemian petal strewn aisle, an elegant four-poled canopy with draping fabric and beautiful music which sounded throughout the ceremony thanks to the talented local flamenco guitarist, Nano—and you have a charming picture that served for some wonderful memories —and photographs.
After the wonderful ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and canapes on the lawn, while photographer Issy whisked the newlyweds away for some more sublime shots in the grounds of the Villa.
The delicious wedding breakfast was served on another of the venue’s lush green lawns. During the meal, which included a selection of tasty tapas at the centre of each table, followed by medallions of Iberian sirloin or sea bass fillet, a playlist further enhanced the joyful ambiance of the delicious menu which finalised with the all-important speeches and the cutting of the cake; a scrumptious three chocolate masterpiece which went down fabulously with all.
As dusk settled, and the sun set upon the Villa and its grounds, basking all in its amber glow, a simply stunning evening display ensued thanks to the indirect lighting of the venue, which achieved a very elegant effect as the celebrations continued.
As the magical Marbellan evening light show began – a live band, Miss Gin, kicked off the party in style with a set of catchy songs that got everyone on the dance floor. After an hour of sensational live music, the musical baton was handed on to a local DJ, who did a great job of keeping 80 adults and two children entertained until the small hours.
Late night snacks of ham and cheese brioche style, Spanish omelette dices and an assortment of mini sponge cakes added to fuel an evening full of partying and fun.
