At Sunshine Weddings Spain, we love nothing more than sharing heartfelt bridal stories set in the most enchanting corners of southern Spain. And as we close the chapter on another unforgettable season, we’re especially thrilled to bring you our final love story of 2025 — a year filled with extraordinary moments, breathtaking celebrations, and couples who touched our hearts.
This week, we’re shining a warm Andalusian spotlight on Lisa and Tomas, who tied the knot just eleven days ago, on the 8th of November in a setting that truly felt like a dream brought to life. Their celebration unfolded at an iconic, fully renovated luxury retreat set between Málaga and Marbella — a legendary hideaway once known for its glamorous heyday in the 80s and 90s, now reborn as a serene five-star sanctuary.
Just a few steps from the magical whitewashed village of Mijas and cradled by gentle mountain slopes, this exquisite venue blends contemporary Mediterranean design with nostalgic Costa del Sol charm. Soft curves, calming neutral tones, handcrafted Andalusian details, and open, light-filled spaces invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and savour every corner. Tranquil reflective pools, lush gardens, and wide terraces frame sweeping views across one of the region’s most exclusive valleys — creating an atmosphere where relaxation and celebration flow together effortlessly.
Wrapped in this sophisticated yet soulful setting, Lisa and Tomas’ autumn wedding felt wonderfully intimate: the golden November light, the peaceful mountain backdrop, and the subtle hum of Andalusian elegance turning each moment into something cinematic.
And for us, watching them exchange vows in such a breathtaking setting was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. Read on to discover more about Lisa and Tomas’ magical celebration in this stunning location — the perfect finale to an unforgettable 2025 season.

The wedding day began in the soft hush of an Andalusian morning. Lisa woke up in the peaceful comfort of the resort, wrapped in calm mountain air. Just beyond her terrace, reflective pools shimmered quietly, the perfect backdrop for a slow, meaningful start to such an important day.
Hair and makeup began early, filling the room with excited chatter and shared anticipation. Stylist Lucy worked her magic on Lisa and her bridal party, creating effortlessly elegant looks that felt perfectly aligned with the soft, modern Mediterranean surroundings. Meanwhile, beautiful bouquets were delivered to the suite — delicate, fresh, and timed perfectly for the morning’s preparations.
At the same time, just a short drive away in Elviria, Tomas began getting ready with his best men, Sava and Risto. Their morning had its own rhythm of nerves, laughter, and final adjustments, all captured on lens by the talented destination wedding photographer, Andreas Holm, who documented every quiet moment before the celebration unfolded.
Back at the hotel, the Sunshine Weddings Spain team had already arrived and were coordinating final details: checking on setups, greeting suppliers, and ensuring every element flowed seamlessly. The dancefloor installation began; garden games were positioned; and the atmosphere around the venue gently transformed from serene to celebratory.
By midday, both Lisa and Tomas were dressed and ready, the anticipation clear on their faces. Lisa wore a satin, silk-finish gown with a clean, flattering silhouette — a subtle slit on the left leg, soft puffed shoulders, an open semi-back, and a relaxed drape that tied neatly at the waist. Her long veil was secured to an elegant chignon, and a simple string of pearls completed her look.
Tomas opted for a classic black suit, crisp white shirt, and black bow tie — a timeless, sharp combination that matched the tone of the day.
They were ready for their first look, and for all the magical moments that would follow.

As the afternoon sun warmed the tiled pathways and manicured gardens, guests began arriving at the hotel’s reception terrace — a beautiful open-air space framed by mountain views and soft Mediterranean light.
They were welcomed with refreshing drinks and the soft notes of a handpicked playlist playing from Lisa’s phone, setting a relaxed, joyful tone as family and friends mingled, greeted one another, and took in the peaceful surroundings of this luxurious Andalusian escape.
The groomsmen and best men gathered with the Sunshine Weddings team at the entrance, ensuring everything was perfectly coordinated as guests settled in. The shaded areas of the terrace — a blissful escape from the more golden patches of sun — became ideal spots for conversation and laughter as anticipation built for the ceremony.
Quietly behind the scenes, Sunshine Weddings guided Lisa’s parents to meet her in the bridal suite, a tender moment before everything began. Tomas was then escorted to the front of the ceremony space, standing proudly with his best men as the final guests took their seats.
There was a gentle hum in the air — excitement, emotion, and the promise of something unforgettable.

As guests settled into their places overlooking the rolling hills and peaceful gardens, English speaking celebrant Gareth, made a heartfelt announcement reminding everyone to fully embrace the moment — no phones, no cameras, just presence. A beautiful stillness followed, setting the tone for the ceremony.
From there, the procession began: first Erika, then Tia, and finally Lisa, escorted by her father. Each entrance unfolded to its own carefully chosen piece of music. The ceremony itself took place beneath the warm Andalusian sky, surrounded by soft architecture, leafy terraces, and the gentle quiet of the mountains. It was intimate, emotional, and completely personal — a celebration of connection, beautifully framed by the natural elegance of the setting.
At the signing, Tomas’s father played guitar, filling the air with music that felt both touching and symbolic. As the final notes drifted away, Gareth invited guests to shower the newlyweds with petals.
Lisa and Tomas walked back down the aisle in a flurry of colour, applause, and pure joy — the perfect beginning to the celebrations that would follow.

Following their joyful petal-filled exit, Lisa and Tomas led their guests toward the drinks reception — a relaxed, sunlit space overlooking gardens and mountain curves, bathed in that soft autumn glow unique to Andalusia.
As everyone gathered, servers circulated with chilled cava, crisp white wine, smooth reds, and refreshing beers. A curated playlist drifted gently through the air, adding a light, celebratory rhythm as guests mingled and took in the serene surroundings.
The reception began with an array of cold canapés — fresh, beautifully presented bites — followed by warm selections that paired perfectly with the afternoon atmosphere. Just as glasses clinked and conversations warmed, Andreas organised the family portraits using the list provided by Lisa, capturing the most important faces against the resort’s elegant backdrop.
Nearby, the shot wall was quietly prepared, each slot filled with icy-cold Limoncello sourced from Lemonface — a playful, memorable touch that had guests smiling as they spotted it.
As the playlist at the reception gently faded, a new soundtrack began in the dining area, signalling the next chapter of the celebration. Sunshine Weddings began inviting guests toward the dinner terrace, offering a series of warm, friendly calls to ensure everyone made their way smoothly. Meanwhile, Lisa and Tomas took a quiet moment together, savouring their own plate of canapés and their favourite cocktails — Daiquiris and Amaretto — before the evening unfolded in full.

Guests were welcomed to their seats with freshly poured wines and chilled water, beginning the dining experience on a gracious, elegant note. Soon after, Lisa and Tomas made their bridal entrance — announced in perfect synchrony by Erika and Sava — receiving a wave of applause as they joined their loved ones.
Dinner began with a series of heartfelt speeches, each one filled with emotion, humour, and stories that painted a vivid picture of the couple’s journey. Once the first words had been shared, a beautifully prepared lobster starter was served, followed by a delicate fish course.
As plates were cleared, more speeches followed — moments of laughter, teary smiles, and shared memories that made the atmosphere feel intimate and deeply personal. Before the next course, Lisa and Tomas slipped away for their pre-sunset photos, taking advantage of the warm, glowing light as the sun dipped across the hills.
Back at the dinner terrace, a refreshing sorbet course was served, followed by another round of speeches that rippled with affection. Tomas’s brother then took to the keyboard, performing on a NORD STAGE 4 — a thoughtful musical interlude that touched everyone present.
The fourth course, a perfectly cooked beef dish, followed. As the final speeches concluded, the couple rose for their first dance — a romantic, heartfelt moment framed by soft lighting and the gentle hum of evening settling in.
Dessert arrived shortly after, accompanied by tea and coffee, and an espresso martini made especially for Lisa — her favourite indulgence as the night began to sparkle.

With dinner complete, Lisa slipped away for a quick outfit change — a 1920s-style Charleston dress with shimmering sequins and tiered fringe, mid-thigh length, paired with comfortable flat plimsolls so she could dance the night away. She returned just in time for the final garden games, bringing laughter and energy back into the twilight moment before the party began.
DJ Maxee opened the evening’s entertainment, transitioning the atmosphere into full celebration mode as the spirit bar opened and guests began to dance under the warm Andalusian night sky. The energy soared when Roberto stepped in with his sax performance, weaving smooth, electric melodies through the crowd and igniting the dancefloor even further.
As sax notes faded, the celebration continued seamlessly into the venue’s chic nightclub space. Low music played while late-night pizzas were served — a welcome treat as everyone recharged for the next chapter of the night. DJ Maxee set the tone for a chilled, stylish transition before handing over to the hotel’s resident DJ, who carried the party through to the early hours.
And with dancing, music, and laughter continuing until well after midnight, the celebration wrapped up in true Costa del Sol style — spirited, fun-filled, and utterly unforgettable.
