Their celebration unfolded at an iconic, fully renovated luxury retreat set between Málaga and Marbella — a legendary hideaway once known for its glamorous heyday in the 80s and 90s, now reborn as a serene five-star sanctuary.

Bridal Morning Prep

The wedding day began in the soft hush of an Andalusian morning. Lisa woke up in the peaceful comfort of the resort, wrapped in calm mountain air. Just beyond her terrace, reflective pools shimmered quietly, the perfect backdrop for a slow, meaningful start to such an important day.

Hair and makeup began early, filling the room with excited chatter and shared anticipation. At the same time, just a short drive away in Elviria, Tomas began getting ready with his best men, Sava and Risto. Back at the hotel, the Sunshine Weddings Spain team had already arrived and were coordinating final details: checking on setups, greeting suppliers, and ensuring every element flowed seamlessly. The dancefloor installation began; garden games were positioned; and the atmosphere around the venue gently transformed from serene to celebratory.

By midday, both Lisa and Tomas were dressed and ready, the anticipation clear on their faces. Lisa wore a satin, silk-finish gown with a clean, flattering silhouette — a subtle slit on the left leg, soft puffed shoulders, an open semi-back, and a relaxed drape that tied neatly at the waist. Her long veil was secured to an elegant chignon, and a simple string of pearls completed her look.

Tomas opted for a classic black suit, crisp white shirt, and black bow tie — a timeless, sharp combination that matched the tone of the day.

They were welcomed with refreshing drinks and the soft notes of a handpicked playlist playing from Lisa’s phone, setting a relaxed, joyful tone as family and friends mingled, greeted one another, and took in the peaceful surroundings of this luxurious Andalusian escape.

The groomsmen and best men gathered with the Sunshine Weddings team at the entrance, ensuring everything was perfectly coordinated as guests settled in. The shaded areas of the terrace — a blissful escape from the more golden patches of sun — became ideal spots for conversation and laughter as anticipation built for the ceremony.

Quietly behind the scenes, Sunshine Weddings guided Lisa’s parents to meet her in the bridal suite, a tender moment before everything began. Tomas was then escorted to the front of the ceremony space, standing proudly with his best men as the final guests took their seats.

Ceremony — Emotional Outdoor Vows

As guests settled into their places overlooking the rolling hills and peaceful gardens, English speaking celebrant Gareth, made a heartfelt announcement reminding everyone to fully embrace the moment — no phones, no cameras, just presence. A beautiful stillness followed, setting the tone for the ceremony.

From there, the procession began: first Erika, then Tia, and finally Lisa, escorted by her father. Each entrance unfolded to its own carefully chosen piece of music. The ceremony itself took place beneath the warm Andalusian sky, surrounded by soft architecture, leafy terraces, and the gentle quiet of the mountains. It was intimate, emotional, and completely personal — a celebration of connection, beautifully framed by the natural elegance of the setting.

At the signing, Tomas’s father played guitar, filling the air with music that felt both touching and symbolic. As the final notes drifted away, Gareth invited guests to shower the newlyweds with petals.

Nearby, the shot wall was quietly prepared, each slot filled with icy-cold Limoncello sourced from Lemonface — a playful, memorable touch that had guests smiling as they spotted it.

Dinner — Heartfelt Speeches and Multi-course Meal

Guests were welcomed to their seats with freshly poured wines and chilled water, beginning the dining experience on a gracious, elegant note. Soon after, Lisa and Tomas made their bridal entrance — announced in perfect synchrony by Erika and Sava — receiving a wave of applause as they joined their loved ones.

Dessert arrived shortly after, accompanied by tea and coffee, and an espresso martini made especially for Lisa — her favourite indulgence as the night began to sparkle.

With dinner complete, Lisa slipped away for a quick outfit change — a 1920s-style Charleston dress with shimmering sequins and tiered fringe, mid-thigh length, paired with comfortable flat plimsolls so she could dance the night away. She returned just in time for the final garden games, bringing laughter and energy back into the twilight moment before the party began.

DJ Maxee opened the evening’s entertainment, transitioning the atmosphere into full celebration mode as the spirit bar opened and guests began to dance under the warm Andalusian night sky. The energy soared when Roberto stepped in with his sax performance, weaving smooth, electric melodies through the crowd and igniting the dancefloor even further.

As sax notes faded, the celebration continued seamlessly into the venue’s chic nightclub space. Low music played while late-night pizzas were served — a welcome treat as everyone recharged for the next chapter of the night. DJ Maxee set the tone for a chilled, stylish transition before handing over to the hotel’s resident DJ, who carried the party through to the early hours.

And with dancing, music, and laughter continuing until well after midnight, the celebration wrapped up in true Costa del Sol style — spirited, fun-filled, and utterly unforgettable.
