Back

A typical Spanish wedding venue in the mountains which offers an expansive 35.000 m² space to celebrate the most important day of your life in a secluded yet luxurious setting.

Outdoor garden ceremony in Spain.

It’s not very often, when searching for a rustic Spanish wedding venue, that you find something that offers everything you are looking for. Yet nestled in the Andalucian hills, situated very close to Marbella in the area of Ojen, is a charming typical Spanish villa with amazing sea views over the coast of Marbella, lush gardens and great facilities, making any wedding celebrated here an unforgettable experience.

Whether you are seeking an idyllic and intimate destination wedding venue for a small group, or a stunning location to share your special day with a larger number of family and friends, today’s bridal story, featuring the lovely Olivia & Harry, will give you a glimpse into a stunning venue that can be adapted to your needs and is guaranteed to delight and enchant every guest.

The newlyweds in the lush gardens.

Sunshine Weddings Spain has over two decades of experience when it comes to organising stylish, luxurious, tailor-made, and memorable weddings in and southern Spain and we love working with this venue thanks to its scope for variety and rich grounds entwined with waterfalls, rivers, leafy plants and spectacular panoramic views which in turn makes an ideal backdrop for some spectacular wedding photos to be taken.

Without further ado, let’s take a closer look at Olivia and Harry’s magical day at this unique mountain-side villa.

The Ceremony—in a garden area overflowing with an abundance of greenery and florals.

The talented guitarist, Nano, serenaded the guests with romantic slow and steady strumming as they took their seats on the lush green garden surrounded by 17.000 varieties of plants, flowers and fruit trees, and eagerly awaited the arrival of the beautiful bride.

The highly anticipated moment finally arrived and to the acoustic sound of Jess Glynn’s “My Love”, the stunning bride made her appearance on the arm of her father, and together they walked, in this case up, the shaded garden path which led to the outdoor wedding ceremony site where the handsome groom awaited.

There, the wedding nuptials took place in a special ceremony which saw the joining of Olivia and Harry as husband and wife.

Following on from the ceremony, which finished with the upbeat Jackie Wilson’s “Your love is lifting me higher” as the chosen wedding recessional song the newlyweds joined their guests on one of the villa ground’s lower levels for some refreshments and a selection of appetising canopies including: a gazpacho of berries, mini cesar salad, chicken pita kebabs, assortment of croquettes and mini Steak sandwiches, all the while enjoying an up-beat guitar set—Gypsy King style—by the talented guitarist Nano.

Wedding Breakfast—on the lawn on the finca’s ample gardens.

On the estate’s manicured lawn, decorated with all the rustic touches to make Olivia and Harry’s special day unique and unforgettable, the wedding party sat to enjoy the most delicious Mediterranean cuisine, with hints of Andalucia as traditional tapas were handed out including: chistorra sausages, Spanish omelette dices, calamari rings, padron peppers followed by chicken paella (with a vegetable rice option for vegetarians), a typical southern meal that was finished with white chocolate mousse served with brownie and vanilla ice cream.

As dusk settled, elegant lighting came into play, including fairy lights cascading overhead to give off a romantic vibe, a place where the all important speeches were said before it was time to hit the dance floor.

The Party—romance under the starry sky.

There was no better way to kick off the party than with the newlyweds enjoying their romantic first dance to John Legend’s “Stay With You” followed by a fantastic musical DJ & Sax duo which, together with an open bar and some late-night snacks, kept everyone dancing and mingling into the small hours.

A huge thanks to Salvador on photography and videography, and for the use of these incredible images, and of course to the wonderful bridal couple, Olivia and Harry, for sharing their special day with us. On behalf of the Sunshine team we wish you both the very best of luck, health and happiness in your future together.

We love working with this venue and every wedding there is unique and magical. Could this be the idyllic mountain wedding venue you’ve been looking for?
