The couple featured in today’s wedding story, Aimee and Adam, found their perfect setting, with guidance from Sunshine Weddings Spain, in a stunning private Andalusian estate nestled in the countryside close to Mijas. With panoramic views stretching across the mountains towards the Mediterranean Sea, landscaped gardens, mature olive trees and traditional Spanish architecture, the venue provided the ideal backdrop for the relaxed yet stylish celebration they had envisioned.

On 13th June 2026, surrounded by loved ones who had travelled from the UK to celebrate with them, Aimee and Adam began their next chapter together in the sunshine of southern Spain. From a peaceful morning spent preparing with family to an energetic evening of dancing in the courtyard, their wedding day was filled with laughter, heartfelt moments and thoughtful personal touches that made the celebration uniquely theirs.

A Relaxed Start to the Morning

Unlike many wedding mornings, Aimee and Adam started the day together, making the most of the peaceful surroundings before the celebrations truly began. After an early breakfast, Adam headed off for a round of golf with friends, while the bridal preparations got underway back at the villa.

Make-up artist Lucy arrived bright and early, joined later by hair-stylist Flavia and her assistant, who spent the morning creating timeless bridal looks for Aimee, her bridesmaids, mothers of the couple and close family members. The vibe inside the bridal suite was relaxed and full of excitement as everyone chatted, enjoyed the morning together and watched the preparations unfold.

Outside, the Sunshine Weddings Spain team were already busy coordinating suppliers and overseeing the final venue setup, meanwhile, the catering team prepared the outdoor spaces while decorative elements began transforming the gardens into the perfect ceremony setting.

As the afternoon got underway, florist Janne arrived with the floral arrangements and began setting up the ceremony area. The arch was placed on the upper lawn, adding a simple focal point to the ceremony space while working well with the surrounding gardens.

Personal touches added even more character to the styling. Aimee had brought her own table runners, table cards and decorative details from home, while a Polaroid guest station was arranged during the drinks reception to encourage guests to capture their own memories throughout the afternoon. Children’s activity packs, flower girl baskets, petal baskets and carefully prepared guest amenities all reflected the thought and care that had gone into every aspect of the wedding.

Meanwhile, photographer Racheal from Balance Photography and videographer Ollie arrived to begin documenting the final moments before guests arrived, capturing natural interactions as everyone prepared for one of the biggest days of Aimee and Adam’s lives.

Welcoming Family and Friends

As the afternoon sunshine settled over the gardens, live musician Nano began setting up on the front lawn. His relaxed acoustic guitar performance provided the perfect soundtrack as guests started to arrive and enjoy refreshing sangria and chilled water infused with fresh fruit supplied by the couple.

One particularly touching moment took place before the ceremony when Adam shared a first look with their daughter beneath one of the estate’s olive trees. It was a beautiful family moment that Racheal captured naturally, creating memories that will undoubtedly be treasured for years to come.

Shortly afterwards, Aimee shared an emotional first look with her father inside the bridal suite before guests were invited to make their way towards the ceremony lawn. As everyone found their seats, the excitement quietly built in anticipation of the ceremony.

A Beautiful Outdoor Ceremony

The ceremony took place on the upper lawn, with the surrounding mountains and countryside providing a spectacular backdrop. Rows of white chairs and large parasols created a comfortable setting for guests, while the floral arch added a soft, romantic focal point to the ceremony space.

Aimee looked beautiful in a fitted lace wedding dress with delicate floral detailing throughout the bodice and skirt. Her pearl-detailed veil added a classic finishing touch, while her simple jewellery kept the focus on the intricate detail of her dress. Adam wore a smart black suit with a crisp white shirt and a pale floral buttonhole, creating a timeless look that suited the elegant outdoor setting.

The bridal procession began with flower girls Lilah, Grace and Caitlin making their way down the aisle, followed by bridesmaids Alysia and Natasha. Finally, Aimee walked arm in arm with her father Jim as Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love played softly in the background.

With the mountains stretching out behind them and their closest family and friends gathered around them, Aimee and Adam exchanged their vows beneath the floral arch. The ceremony felt personal and intimate, while the open-air setting made the most of the beautiful Spanish surroundings.

During the signing of the marriage schedule, Nano performed an instrumental set, adding a calm musical backdrop as the formalities were completed.

As Bamboleo filled the gardens, the newlyweds made their way back up the aisle to enthusiastic applause, officially beginning the celebrations.

Drinks Reception in the Gardens

Following the ceremony, Aimee and Adam were handed their first glass of cava together before taking a few moments to soak everything in.

Guests gathered once again on the front lawn where drinks continued to flow while congratulations, hugs and plenty of laughter filled the gardens. This part of the day offered the perfect balance between relaxed socialising and capturing beautiful memories. Photographer Racheal organised family photographs with the help of Jo and Daniel, ensuring groups were gathered efficiently so everyone could return to enjoying the celebrations.

The impressive backdrop of the gardens also provided the setting for a full group photograph, bringing together every guest who had travelled to Spain to celebrate alongside the newlyweds.

While guests continued chatting, the Sunshine Weddings Spain team quietly whisked Aimee and Adam away for a few private moments together. Away from the excitement, they enjoyed cold drinks and canapés while taking a breath before the evening celebrations began. These small moments often become some of the most memorable parts of the day, allowing couples to reflect on everything that has happened before the festivities continue.

Dinner Beneath the Spanish Sky

Guests were invited to the lawn overlooking the swimming pool where beautifully styled tables awaited.

The reception combined a long top table with round guest tables, creating a welcoming and sociable setting. Aimee’s own table runners added a personal touch, while the floral arrangements from the ceremony had been repositioned behind the top table, linking each part of the celebration together.

As everyone took their places, MC Daniel welcomed guests before introducing the newlyweds.

Aimee and Adam made their entrance to Calvin Harris’ Feel So Close, setting the tone for an evening centred around great food, heartfelt speeches and plenty of celebration.

Before dinner was served, three speeches gave friends and family the opportunity to share a few words with the newlyweds. Jim spoke first, followed by Adam, who took the opportunity to thank everyone who had travelled to Spain to celebrate with them. Joe then brought the speeches to a close with his own contribution to the evening, making sure there was plenty of laughter along the way.

Dinner itself centred around a relaxed barbecue, perfectly suited to the warm Spanish evening. Guests were invited table by table to enjoy the delicious selection while conversations continued long into the evening.

As daylight slowly softened, desserts were served before tea and coffee became available, allowing everyone to settle into the relaxed pace of the evening.

As golden hour approached, Racheal took Aimee and Adam away for a short portrait session while guests continued enjoying the atmosphere.

Southern Spain is famous for its evening light, and June offers some of the most spectacular sunsets of the year. The surrounding countryside provided an incredible backdrop as the newlyweds enjoyed a few quiet moments together, creating natural portraits filled with warmth and genuine emotion.

Back with their guests, the newlyweds enjoyed the cava tower, which became a real highlight of the evening. Guests gathered to watch Aimee and Adam pour the first glasses before joining in with champagne showers and plenty of cheers. It was the perfect way to move from the formalities of dinner into the evening celebrations.

Dancing the Night Away

As darkness settled over the estate, everyone made their way into the lower courtyard where the evening party was ready to begin. DJ Dave James took over the music for the evening, and the newlyweds shared their first dance to a remix they had chosen for the occasion.

Moments later, the dance floor truly came alive as the saxophonist joined the DJ, creating an energetic live performance that kept guests dancing throughout the evening.

The courtyard stayed busy throughout the evening as guests danced, chatted and enjoyed the bar. The children also had plenty to keep them entertained earlier in the day, while the adults made the most of the music and warm Spanish weather.

By the time the final song played at 1am, the celebrations had come to an end after a full day of family, friends and plenty of dancing.
