Vows with a View-The Ceremony on the Verdant Front Lawn

The ceremony took place on the front lawn, a spectacular space adorned with tropical flowers and framed by breathtaking views of the Costa del Sol. “Last Love” by Jon Mullins filled the air as Emma, radiant in a figure-flattering slip-shaped wedding dress, made her way down the aisle. The straightforward yet stylish bridal dress, adorned with spaghetti straps and a semi-loose fitting silhouette, brought a hint of modern elegance to the rustic surroundings. Meanwhile, the ceremony space, marked by two simple white chairs and a wooden wedding arch, also contributed to the charm and offered a perfect vantage point overlooking the tropical grounds and distant rugged mountains.

Led by wedding minister Kevin, the ceremony unfolded as an emotional and non-religious celebration. Emma and Sam were united as husband and wife in the presence of an intimate group of friends and family who had travelled to witness this beautiful union. The Spanish sunshine added warmth to the atmosphere as the couple exchanged vows, prompting a few tears from the gathered guests who couldn’t help but be moved by the heartfelt moment.

An emotional moment that finalised with a fun wedding recessional, to an upbeat “Bamboleo” played on guitar by local guitarist, Nano.

The Wedding Feast – from Nibbles to a Multi-course Meal

Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a leisurely hour of good vibes on the side lawn. Garlic and herb bruschetta with fresh basil and baby tomatoes, beef carpaccio sandwiches infused with mustard olive oil and parmesan, serrano ham and manchego cheese croquettes, baby smoky chorizo, and mini vegetable spring rolls with soya sauce dip were served, all accompanied by the spectacular views overlooking the Costa del Sol. Nano’s music continued to serenade the drinks reception, creating a relaxed atmosphere as the newlyweds, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, enjoyed a photo session captured by the talented Rebecca Davidson.

As the sun began to set, guests were invited to the back lawn, beautifully lit for an evening of dining and celebration. The transition marked the beginning of the wedding feast that kicked off with a choice of starters between crispy pulled pork spring rolls or Thai chilli and lime chicken wraps. The mains included fillets of sea bass with warm Catalan vegetable salad, prawn top, and piquillo pepper coulis with sautéed potatoes, or rolled slow-cooked Spanish beef “steak” filled with seasonal vegetables in Rioja and confit potatoes.

Dancing through the Night – Four Hour DJ Set

Night set and everyone enjoyed the candle-lit, al-fresco dining under the stars, which finished with a flavourful trio of desserts made up of chocolate mousse with chocolate cap raspberries and a mango coulis, tangy Spanish lemon tart with vanilla crème topped with lemon zest and crema Catalana with a crunchy caramel topping and white chocolate barrita. Meanwhile, the speeches, commencing with the father of the bride, added a heartfelt touch to the evening.

After capturing the magic of sunset images, the party kicked off with Emma and Sam’s first dance to “From This Moment On” by Caleb and Kelsey, afterwhich DJ Dave James took over, treating everyone to a four-hour music session that carried the celebration through to the early hours of the morning.

The magical day and night came to a close at 2 am, but the celebration didn’t end there. The following day, friends and family reconvened at the magnificent Hacienda, which can accommodate 25 guests in its ten luxury rooms, for a BBQ and pool party which served as the perfect conclusion to Emma and Sam’s magical destination wedding in Spain.

A huge thank you to Rebecca Davidson for the use of these incredible images. And a huge thank you to Emma and Sam for sharing their magical day with us. Wishing you well as you embark on this next chapter of life.
