Welcome – enchanting hacienda nestled within the heart of the Spanish countryside.

The day began with a warm welcome as Nano, a local flamenco guitarist, serenaded the guests with ambient music in the lower garden. Refreshing Sangria and other drinks flowed freely, setting the tone for the festivities.

Mona’s emotional first look with her father, beautifully captured by the talented photographer Talia, set a heartfelt tone for the day. Meanwhile, the groomsmen escorted guests to the upper lawn, where the outdoor ceremony area awaited. A chic, understated ceremony arch adorned with white, cream, pale pink, and nude flowers, complemented by eucalyptus and olive greenery, created an elegant backdrop for the vows.

A Dreamlike Ceremony – a heartfelt exchange of vows in a picturesque outdoor setting.

The radiant bride, stunning in her flowing lace bridal gown and a long veil, made her entrance, escorted by her father, to the sweet melody of ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love.’ Encircled by their wedding guests, the couple exchanged their heartfelt vows, officiated by a dear friend.

Nano’s skilled guitar playing created the perfect ambiance as guests enjoyed ‘Gypsy Bamboleo’ during the ceremony’s exit. White and pale pink rose petals rained down on the couple as they made their way to the drinks reception held in the lower garden. A place where guests relished in cheerful conversations, accompanied by lively flamenco music and breathtaking views of the Mijas mountains, all the while savouring a variety of hot and cold canapes, including garlic pil pil, red onion marmalade with Andalusian goat cheese cream, and finger pastry chicken rolls with tarte sauce.

As the guests continued to mingle, the couple were whisked away on a special photo shoot within the hacienda’s beautiful grounds, with panoramic views of the Mijas mountains, artfully snapped by Talia’s lens.

Culinary Delights – overlooking the turquoise swimming pool.

The wedding breakfast took place al-fresco, overlooking the turquoise swimming pool. Guests were treated to a Mediterranean-inspired dining experience, with dishes like baked goat’s cheese with heirloom tomato and apple, sea bass with a warm Catalan vegetable salad, and a delicious Spanish lemon tart for dessert. The dinner was complemented by heartfelt speeches and the traditional cake-cutting ceremony.

Dancing Under the Moon – first dance and smooth sax.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden-hour glow, the couple seized a moment for captivating photos before rejoined their guests on the dance floor, where they shared their first dance to the tunes of DJ Tronky’s “Never Enough.”

The outdoor space glowed with the charm of fairy lights, setting a magical mood beneath the moonlit sky. The newlyweds, along with their guests, danced the night away, grooving to the funky tunes provided by DJ Steve Altman. A skilled saxophonist’s appearance mid-evening added an extra layer of entertainment, ensuring that the guests had a great time well into the late hours of the night.

Mona and Marcus’s wedding day was a perfect blend of tradition, exquisite cuisine, and, most importantly, love and laughter. Their story, as captured by the talented Talia, whom we extend our thanks to for the use of these images, will undoubtedly be a cherished memory for years to come.

We send our warmest wishes for a long and happy marriage. Thank you for choosing the Sunshine Weddings team for your special day.
