Welcome – Wedding Day Celebration in Mijas
As guests arrived at this picturesque Hacienda in Mijas, they were greeted with the serene beauty of the Spanish countryside. The front lawn of the hacienda set the stage for the warm welcome, where guests were met with refreshing drinks of water, cava, and bottled beer. A local Spanish guitarist, Nano, set the tone for the welcome, strumming ambient sounds as the guests gathered and parasols had been strategically placed to provide shade and add a touch of elegance to the welcome area. There guests mingled, taking in the stunning views and the buzz of excitement grew as all eagerly awaited the start of the ceremony.
Ceremony – Rustic Wedding Celebration in Andalucia
The ceremony unfolded on the front lawn of the hacienda, offering guests panoramic vistas of the Spanish countryside and sparkling coastline beyond. There, Nicolas, looking sharp in a beige suit, and his mother led the procession, followed by the bridal party with Julia, radiant in a v-neck satin bridal dress, escorted by her father. There, under the Spanish sunshine and against rustic views, the vows were exchanged, and the guitar strumming continued as the marriage documents were signed. Concluding the ceremony, the newlyweds exited amid a shower of flower petals, accompanied by the upbeat rhythm of “Hey Ya” by Outkast, setting the tone for the fun that was still to come.
Wedding Breakfast – Al Fresco Garden Dining
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to the upper side lawn for a celebratory drink and some tasty canapes. The drinks reception featured a selection of water, cava, rose wine, and bottled beer, while Nano’s music shifted to a more uplifting flamenco performance. Guests enjoyed a variety of cold followed by hot canapes, providing a perfect opportunity for The Love Hunters, the photography team for the day, to capture fun family photos.
After indulging in the delightful canapes, guests proceeded to the back garden of the hacienda for a delicious wedding breakfast. The garden was beautifully adorned with lush greenery and fragrant blooms, while tables were elegantly set with linens and centrepieces, highlighting the rustic charm of the venue. A multi-course meal was served, accompanied by moving yet humorous speeches and with the meal concluded, it was time for the dancing to commence.
Party in the Lower Courtyard – Dancing until the Early Hours
The festivities commenced with the first dance, set to the soulful melodies of UB40’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love.” As night descended and the Jackie Brown Band took the stage, the party relocated to the lower courtyard of the hacienda, where the atmosphere was elevated to the next level. Guests danced the night away, surrounded by the rustic charm of the courtyard and the gentle glow of string lights overhead.
After the band’s set concluded, DJ Dave James took over, maintaining the vibrant party atmosphere well into the early hours of the morning, marking the end of a magical day brimming with unforgettable moments.
