Eventually, with the sun high in the cloudless blue sky, guests were guided to the designated ceremony area, where the heartfelt union of Vivian and Michael awaited.

The Ceremony – A Boutique Farmhouse Wedding Venue

Accompanied by the timeless melody of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley, the bride, radiant in her white gown, gracefully made her entrance. With every step, anticipation filled the air as she approached her groom, who stood awaiting her beneath the charming garden gazebo. The intimate ceremony, led by the local English-speaking minister Gareth, unfolded amidst the lush greenery, creating a picturesque backdrop for the exchange of vows. Throughout the ceremony, the talented Spanish guitarist, Nano, serenaded the couple, adding a touch of romance to the moment.

As the ceremony ended, emotions ran high, and guests were touched by the heartfelt union. The joyful atmosphere peaked with the upbeat melody of “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles, marking the start of a new chapter for Vivian and Michael as they walked back up the aisle as husband and wife. Surrounded by bubbles blown by loved ones, the couple joined their guests for a celebratory drink.

The Cocktail Hour – in a charming Andalusian-style terrace

After the ceremony, guests savored canapés and drinks on a charming Andalusian-style terrace, enveloped by graceful arched columns and a serene water feature, offering an idyllic setting for unwinding with post-ceremony cocktails prior to dinner. The canapes served featured delectable dishes such as salmorejo of roasted vegetables with quail egg and chives, avocado hummus with beet sprouts and chia seeds, spicy salmon tartar with shichimi togarashi and piña colada, crispy prawns with red curry and sweet chili, and vegetable samosas with yoghurt cream, all passed around for guests to enjoy. Meanwhile, the wedding party was treated to an upbeat live guitar set by a local flamenco artist, adding to the lively atmosphere.

During this time, the newlyweds seized the opportunity for a pre-sunset photo shoot, guided by the immensely talented Isabel Benchetrit. Against the soft, hazy Spanish sunset lighting, Issy captured truly enchanting moments and heartwarming exchanges, preserving the magic of the occasion in every frame.

The Wedding Breakfast – A Feast of Traditional Spanish Cuisine

Guests were then escorted to the far side of the salon terrace, where they were treated to a hearty feast of traditional Spanish cuisine. The starters included pink “gazpachuelo” of hake and prawns scented with manzanilla wine, setting the tone for a flavorful dining experience. For the main course, guests had the option of indulging in grilled iberian pork with manteca colorá and red miso, or potato gratin with parmesan, or young goat leg of canillas in its juice in wood oven, accompanied by the savory potato gratin with parmesan. Dessert offerings included mille feuille with soft pastry cream or grandmother’s cake with pastry cream, with a vegetarian option available for those who preferred a meat-free meal.

The Party – In An Idyllic Garden Setting

In this idyllic setting, heartfelt, memorable, and light-hearted wedding speeches echoed through the air, creating cherished moments captured by Issy. As the speeches concluded, it was time to kick off the festivities on the dance floor, beginning with the couple’s first dance to the soulful tune of “Beyond” by Leon Bridges.

The enchanting day drew to a close with a lively night of dancing to the couple’s curated playlist. Adding to the celebratory atmosphere was a Candy/Popcorn Cart featuring an array of treats such as sweets, nuts, popcorn, donut-type sweets, lollipops, and an impressive 11kg cake.

It was a truly magical day filled with sunshine, history, and charm, where guests revelled under the blue skies, indulged in amazing food, and shared plenty of laughter and joy.
