Beach Club Wedding Marbella: A Stylish Spanish Celebration for Leah and Erjon…

Today’s featured bridal couple are the wonderful Leah and Erjon, who have kindly agreed to relive some of their wedding memories with us. The newlyweds were married last summer in one of Marbella’s most beautiful and exclusive beach clubs.

“The wedding proposal was a very elaborate plan constructed by Erjon and it was very moving! I lived in Thailand as a teenager and had always wanted us to visit together so we booked our Christmas holidays there. On Christmas day we had booked an amazing dinner on the beach inside a grotto. Erjon got up and started doing a speech about how much I meant to him and then got down on one knee! It was the best Christmas gift EVER.”

“I am half Spanish and both of us have always loved being in Spain; the culture, the food, etc… We initially looked at Spain due to the value for money when it came to the overall cost of a wedding compared to the UK. Specifically, we knew we wanted a beachfront wedding, and so we narrowed it down to Marbella.
??We viewed four venues and the Beach Club was the first one we saw. We knew even before viewing the venues that we were interested in the Beach Club. Seeing it in person only confirmed how sure we were that this was our venue!”

“Our guests were left in awe at the scenery, decoration and set up. Regardless of what budget you have it is difficult to beat a naturally beautiful backdrop and this is what we found. It was nothing short of amazing and our guests felt they had the full experience; the full experience of being in Spain where the weather is good and the beaches are beautiful. It made everything worthwhile and was probably the main focal point of the whole evening.”

“Working with Sunshine Weddings has been a very smooth and helpful process. It can be difficult to plan a wedding from abroad due to not being able to have easy access to the venue, etc… However, once we arrived for the wedding we could really see everything had come together. It was invaluable to have the team there on the day as they took care of everything and all we had to do was enjoy it!
We wanted to incorporate a beach theme without doing the usual, standard ‘all white’ theme. We wanted to incorporate some color with represented the area we were in so we went with a lemon and lavender theme – both of which are typical of the south of Spain.”

“Our menu consisted of hot and cold canapes with a choice of drinks to start with – this was the guests’ favourite! – including cheese croquettes and shrimp. On our main menu we had a starter of shrimp carpaccio, a suite of saffron sauce with cod, a main of Iberian pork loin tagliatelle, and petits fours for the dessert.
Our cake was more for decorative purposes as nobody actually ended up eating it on the day (there was already more than enough food) but it tasted great! If I remember correctly it was a vanilla sponge cake and we fed this to each other!”

“We opted to hire a DJ and went for DJ Scott, who is a suggested provider of Sunshine Weddings! This was great because he had worked with the planners before and it was all so easy to organise. He understood the crowd perfectly and the dance floor was quite full at all times. All of our guests ‘booed’ when the wedding ended because nobody was ready for the night to end (even though it was 4:00am).”

“The most memorable part of the day was, of course, walking down the aisle. Seeing Erjon waiting for me with pride in his eyes is a memory which will forever be engraved in my mind! The florists had done a beautiful job with the aisle and everything looked perfect. The song we had chosen to walk in to was playing loudly and I felt so joyful.
We didn’t have our honeymoon right away as we wanted to have something to look forward to once coming back. We are going to be spending Christmas and NYE in Thailand and Vietnam instead.”
