The Costa del Sol, with over 325 dry days a year, stretching over 150 km along the Spanish Mediterranean, is one of the most popular locations for a beach wedding in Europe.
So if you’re dreaming of a sunshine wedding venue in Spain, at a paradisiacal location perched on one of the most glamorous beaches on the whole of the Costa del Sol, check out today’s bridal story, an epic day of love and laughter at an amazing chic beach wedding location.
The protagonists of this bridal story are the lovely Toronto based couple, Alicia and Miles, who, on the first Sunday of June, surrounded by some fifty close family and friends, tied the knot. A day made all the more special and emotive having been originally postponed due to Covid.
A luxurious 5 star hotel in the heart of the Costa del Sol, with almost 1,700 m2 of flexible space and exceptional surroundings, this opulent hotel made the ideal setting for Alicia and Miles’ dream wedding. An deluxe space which evokes the essence of Spanish luxury, at just a 40 minute drive from Malaga airport.
And there, by the Beach Solarium Pool, the guests gathered for a welcome drink and the excitement of the day began to build.
On the front left hand side of the Beach Solarium with sweeping azure views of the glimmering Mediterranean sea, making the perfect backdrop for the day’s wedding vows to be taken, the guests gathered in expectation.
With a seafront ceremony all in white, the radiant bride, to the sound of “All of You” by John Legend sung by the talented Alice, made her way down the white wedding aisle runner carpet, flanked by rows of elegant white chair towards the chic white wedding table proudly positioned first line to the beach, surrounded by swaying palm trees and spectacular sea views.
There, wedding Minister, Fran, led an emotive and jovial wedding service on the seafront grounds of this glamorous Marbella hotel, full of luxury vogue designs and additional avant-garde amenities.
Following on from the ceremony, which finished with Alice singing “You make my dreams come true” by Hall & Oates, Alicia and Miles, now as husband and wife, joined their guests to the side of the Beach Solarium, surrounded by luxury and sunshine, for some refreshments and a selection of canopies including: black angus steak tartare, fried chanquete with basil aioli, Spinach and parmesan cheese croquette. Once they finished those, they went on to enjoy some ceviche with guacamole and lime and smoked beef croquettes. All the while listening to a great vocal and guitar set by Alice.
Guests enjoy a sumptuous sit-down dinner served on the right hand side of the Beach Solarium overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean sea, there following the white theme styling, the wedding guests were invited to be seated on white chiavari chairs around tables decorated in luxe white linen and elegant furnishings for a delicious meal which offered a choice of sea bass with Thai sauce or rib of black Angus beef, or a Mushroom Risotto option for the vegetarian guests. A mouthwatering feast that was finished off with an assortment of desserts including: chocolate rocks, mini eclair, marinated fruit, rice pudding and assorted mousse glasses.
And whilst the wedding guests enjoyed this sweet delight, Alicia and Miles enjoyed a moment to immortalise the magic of the day and setting with some pre-sunset photos taken by the gifted Costa del Sol photographer, Agata.
Just as the sun was setting, tinging the hotel grounds in a soft golden glow, the bridal couple made their way to the dance floor set up in the Bardot bar area where the DJ stage, framed by fairy curtains, started sounding Eternal’s “I wanna be the only one,” cue for the newlywed romantic first dance.
With the music sounding, everyone enjoyed over three hours of open bar with late night snack, sandwich and a pastry selection served buffet style.
Midnight approached and the party ended, but Alicia and Miles’ fairytale story continues and we wish them all the best of luck, health and happiness in their future together.
