Are you looking for an elegant, boutique style hotel wedding venue, with beautiful views of the Spanish countryside?
Join us for today’s special bridal story that takes place in a stunning boutique hotel located in a beautiful setting close to Nerja, as we walk through Amber and Josh’s magical day celebrated last June at this large and gorgeous mountain view venue.
The Venue—Designed to depict a 19th century Spanish hacienda
A delightful boutique style hotel set in rich avocado and citrus groves, just 30 minutes inland from Nerja, meaning that the buzzing Costa del Sol, jam packed with exciting family activities, is just a short drive away. The hotel has 20 bedrooms, full of luxury and Spanish ambiance, making it the perfect place to stay with your loved ones on the run up to your dream day.
The Day—A covid postponed wedding day full of magic, laughter, romance and plenty of love
The bridal preparations commenced early in the morning, with the fabulous bridal hairstylist, Lorraine, arriving at the finca at 9:30 and one of the bride’s very own friends in charge of makeup. As the girl gang enjoyed their pampering and bridal preparations got underway, activity started to buzz outside. On the grounds of the finca, the florist arrived armed with the striking wedding bouquets, button holes for the groomsmen and gypsophila white buds with splashes of fuchsia for the ceremony table, followed by the incredible photography team from The Love Hunters who went directly to the bridal suite and started immortalising the tender and emotive moments of the day.
Meanwhile, the ceremony area, in the hotel’s pretty grounds, was set up with rows of five seats on either side of the rose petal strewn aisle, ready for all the guests the moment the ceremony commenced.
But before, all the guests were invited to a welcome drink of refreshing lemonade or a glass of bubbly, whilst enjoying the ambient sound of a guitarist, Jesus, strumming some melodic tunes in the background.
A moment later, and it was time for the magic to continue weaving through the day. Beneath the shelter of a small pergola, the handsome groom awaited for the beautiful bride to make her appearance.
Looking radiant, and escorted down the aisle on the arm of her father, the bride finally made her much-anticipated show, and under the romantic setting of the pergola, the young couple were joined in matrimony by humanist minister, Jeff, who performed the official declaration of marriage.
With views over avocado groves and orange trees the marriage vows and rings were exchanged in a beautiful ceremony which finalised with the newlyweds enjoying an uplifting wedding recessional to “Here comes the Sun” by the Beatles before they joined their guests in a typical Spanish patio in the centre of the building, a perfect spot for guests to mingle while enjoying some refreshments and a selection of appetising canopies including: Vegetable falafel with Lebanese hummus and white miso, crunchy prawns with red curry and sweet chilli, marinated chicken brochettes with yakitori and vegetable samosas with a yoghurt cream, all the while listening to the an upbeat guitar set at the hands of the talented Jesus.
Following on from that, the guests were invited to be seated for dinner, in a space that had been set-up on the far side of the outdoor patio area. There, the wedding guests were offered a fantastic feast including a classic Caesar salad with smoked bacon and parmesan shavings or a veggie choice of Tofu and Bean Sprout Salad for starters, followed by a succulent mains of rack of lamb with red wine sauce, wok veg and Dauphinoise potatoes or a vegetarian-friendly choice of courgette and mushroom risotto with mascarpone and asparagus tips, finished off with a heavily white chocolate and passion fruit mousse for dessert.
After dinner, everyone was invited to enjoy themselves with a fun photo booth that had been set up near the dining area, while Amber and Josh enjoyed a pre-sunset photo session under the supervision and guidance of the talented team from The Love Hunters.
It was at this moment that a two-hour uplifting playlist started and comfy flip flops were handed out to the ladies.
The guests stay outside for two hours before moving indoors to continue with the animated party. A total of 6 hours of open bar, late night snacks and cake served to see the guests entertained, fed and happy until 2am.
The perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding in the sunshine surrounded by friends and family.
