Dream wedding transportation for your dream day…
With the wedding season around the corner there is a chance you’re currently finalising the plans for your big day, and as important as the cake, the seating plan, and the bridal bouquet, the right vehicle is also a must, especially if you’re planning on making a stylish entrance.
If you’re looking for something a little different and don’t mind lots of attention as you arrive at your wedding, then a beautiful classic car is the answer. And what can be more elegant and stylish—with the real OMG factor—than a magnificent Rolls Royce Convertible, specifically a Rolls Royce Corniche DropHead Coupe.
The Rolls-Royce Corniche is a two-door, front-engine, rear wheel drive luxury car produced by Rolls-Royce Motors as a convertible (from 1971 to 1995). The Corniche has a desirable and recognisable look to it and has been widely praised over the years and in today’s feature article we speak with Gregory Axcerias, owner of one of these exemplary vehicles on the Costa del Sol, who gives us a tantalising glimpse into what has to be one of the most elegant cars you could hire for your big day.
“This Rolls-Royce Corniche has been in the family since it was first purchased in 1985 and has been meticulously maintained ever since. It is finished in traditional white with a champagne cream convertible power hood with matching luxury cream leather interior, deep lambs wool carpets and polished walnut door capping and dash. Inside is wide and spacious, offering good passenger legroom and comfortably fits five people including the driver.
As I’ve said, it’s been in the family for almost four decades and we have always enjoyed it as a family car, however, one day when talking with Scott, he suggested using it for wedding hire for those bridal couples looking to make an elegant wedding day statement and I readily agreed.
This car has a power hood with retracts in seconds (we obviously close the hood on the motorways so as not to ruin the bride’s hair!) allowing the bride the grandest of celebrity style arrivals at her wedding venue.
A service would typically include a suited chauffeur to transport the bride from her accommodation to the ceremony and then to the reception venue. And can be dressed with ribbons if requested by the bridal couple.
One of the other great benefits of this car is that it can be incorporated into the wedding photos creating some very special images for the couple, for example a backdrop to images taken prior to the start of the ceremony or even during the reception, by capturing the bridal party and even some guests such as the parents of the bride and groom by the car. We can even stop on the way, between the ceremony location and reception venue, for a photo shoot if requested.
I’m often told that this car is the smoothest and most comfortable car ride people have ever experienced and I make sure it is regularly maintained with full ITV (MOT), and insurance.”
