Today we are excited to showcase a brand new destination wedding venue to the Sunshine Weddings’ ever-growing portfolio!

Whilst we are well-known for planning weddings in a range of outstanding villas and fincas across southern Spain and Mallorca, a luxury beach hotel is another elegant and exciting place to get married.

Silje and Aleksander tied the knot recently at one of Estepona’s most beautiful frontline beach hotels. Located close to Estepona’s vibrant centre – a charming Spanish town famed for its pretty backstreets and their quaint and colourful matching flowerpots – it’s an area which has retained its traditional character. The hotel is also nestled between Gibraltar and the dazzling Puerto Banús, making it an idyllic base for the entire bridal party; the perfect invitation to relax and explore before and after the big day. In fact the hotel offers over two-hundred spacious rooms and luxury apartments, all of which come with a choice of picturesque sea or mountain views. All under an hour from Malaga airport and half an hour from Gibraltar’s airport.

The stunning coastline on the hotel’s doorstep wraps itself in a sweeping arc around one of the most sought-after areas of the Costa del Sol, whilst the swimming pool, restaurants, bars, reception rooms and outdoor spaces continue to provide further idyllic spots for wedding photography and a most memorable backdrop.

Silje and Aleksander’s breath-taking wedding ceremony took place in the lush green gardens of the hotel with the aquamarine Mediterranean and the unspoiled beach framing everything magically; palms swaying in a gentle breeze – and not a cloud in the sky. The bride looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown as she said her vows, and the guests were blown away by the beauty of the surroundings, too; the contrast of the ornate white chairs and aisle, archway and wedding flowers pulling everything together in a picture perfect scene.

After the ceremony, friends and family enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast in the sunshine next to the luxurious pool, where some fantastic speeches were made and glasses raised to the newly-weds.

There are so many elements which made this wedding venue hard to resist, and we love the way it is set up to offer its own ideas for couples who are looking for some inspiration (from Iberian ham cutters through to decadent and mouth-watering chocolate fountains, sushi stations to cocktail areas) as well as bespoke and tailor-made ceremonies and menus for those who have specific themes in mind. Following on from the cutting of the gorgeous wedding cake, the evening of Silje and Aleksander’s marriage was one triumph of a party with a seriously impressive first dance (including an air lift) that brought everybody onto the dance floor with a Pied Piper effect! And so it continued into the small hours when guests were also able to take their drinks to the gardens admiring the exquisite pool lit up at night, the gentle song of the cicadas, and the twinkling lights of the coastline beneath the stars.
