Join us as we revisit one of our unforgettable weddings from last season at one of our most popular Marbella garden venues. Each week, we transport you through real wedding tales spanning the Costa del Sol and Mallorca, providing an inside look into the essence of each couple’s unique celebration. These stories not only celebrate love but also serve as a wellspring of inspiration for future brides and grooms in pursuit of their perfect day.
This week, we take a look back at Yasmin and Ross’ wedding held at a picturesque finca just outside Marbella. Their quest for a venue blending rustic charm with natural beauty led them to this historic estate. Offering stunning mountain vistas, expansive gardens, and intimate corners perfect for capturing cherished moments, this location has remained a sought-after wedding destination for over four decades.
Despite its serene ambiance, the finca is conveniently located just minutes away from Marbella’s vibrant center, providing guests with the best of both worlds. For Yasmin and Ross, it was an idyllic setting to exchange vows—and we are excited to share their heartfelt journey with you.

On the morning of their big day, Yasmin and Ross began their celebration together, sharing a relaxed breakfast before parting ways for their final preparations. While Ross headed to a nearby hotel to meet the groomsmen, Yasmin stayed at their beautiful Marbella apartment to get ready with her bridal party.
The apartment soon filled with excited energy as hairstylist Leonie arrived to begin working her magic. Makeup artist Kerstin followed shortly after, creating soft, glowing looks for Yasmin, her bridesmaids, and close family members. The space buzzed with music, laughter, and the joyful nerves of the morning, as the bridal party supported one another through each step of the preparations. Capturing every candid moment with warmth and precision was Calin from Epic Films, whose unobtrusive presence and keen eye ensured the morning’s emotions and details were documented beautifully.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, the Sunshine Weddings Spain team was setting the stage at the finca near Marbella. The ceremony space featured rustic benches surrounded by nature, and the dinner area was styled with elegant round tables dressed in crisp white Alabardero linens. Matching white Chiavari chairs completed the refined look, while parasols were positioned to shade guests during both the drinks reception and dinner.
Karen, the florist, arrived at the venue with the bridal bouquet, buttonholes, and a wrist corsage. One special buttonhole was sent to Yasmin in the bridal suite, while the rest were delivered directly to the venue. With final venue details falling into place—like the card and guest book table and the carefully planned table arrangements by Yasmin and Karen—everything was set for a beautiful day.
Ross and his groomsmen had their own pre-ceremony moment, meeting with the Sunshine Weddings team to pin their buttonholes and prepare for the guests’ arrival. Transport had been coordinated to bring everyone from their accommodations to the finca, keeping the flow of the day seamless.
As early afternoon approached, Yasmin’s bridal party left for the venue, led by her sister Leah. Soon after, family friends Tom and Chris greeted guests as they began to arrive, setting a warm, welcoming tone for what was to be an unforgettable ceremony.
From the very start of the day, it was clear that this wedding was crafted with thought, love, and personal touches—every moment reflecting Yasmin and Ross’s vision for their perfect day in Spain.

As the late afternoon sun bathed the finca in golden light, guests began to arrive, welcomed by the soothing sounds of ambient guitar music played by local musician Nano. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, setting the tone for what would be a truly memorable celebration.
At the welcome area, a beautifully presented infused water station offered guests a refreshing start—orange, lemon, and classic still water gave everyone a cool moment to enjoy as they mingled and took in the stunning surroundings. The finca’s lush gardens and warm, rustic charm made for a dreamy pre-ceremony setting.
Behind the scenes, Yasmin’s bridesmaids and final members of the bridal party were making their way toward the venue, while the groomsmen ensured everything was running smoothly.
Soon after, Ross, accompanied by his best men and Nano, made their way to the front of the ceremony area. This quiet, meaningful moment marked the transition from anticipation to reality—the ceremony was drawing near.
With guests relaxed and ready, the groomsmen gently began guiding everyone to their seats, signalling that the long-awaited moment had arrived—Yasmin and Ross’s vows were just moments away.

Tucked away in the tranquil right-hand garden of the finca, Yasmin and Ross’s ceremony unfolded in the soft glow of the late afternoon sun. Guests were seated on rustic benches beneath a canopy of greenery, as the gentle strum of Nano’s guitar filled the air, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere.
Before the ceremony began, celebrant Gareth kindly asked guests to switch off their phones and cameras—reminding them that Yasmin and Ross wished to see their loved ones’ smiling faces, not screens, as they said “I do.” It was an invitation to be fully present for one of life’s most meaningful moments.
The bridal entrance began in two parts. First, bridesmaids Zabrina and Leah walked gracefully down the aisle to U2’s “One,” setting a beautifully emotional tone. Then came Yasmin, walking arm-in-arm with her father Rob, as the soft, romantic notes of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” filled the air. It was a breathtaking moment—timeless, heartfelt, and rich with emotion.
Yasmin looked radiant in a silky satin A-line gown, featuring an embroidered lace bodice and a flowing circular train. A long, delicately embroidered veil trailed behind her, completing the look. Her hair was elegantly tied back, with two soft, wavy strands framing her face for a romantic finish. The groom, perfectly complementing the day’s refined style, wore a tailored grey jacket paired with black trousers and dark brown loafers—striking a balance between relaxed elegance and timeless sophistication.
The ceremony, held under the warm Spanish sun, was led by celebrant Gareth, who brought a heartfelt and personal touch to the proceedings. He guided the couple through a meaningful exchange of vows and rings, striking just the right balance between emotion, sincerity, and gentle humour. During the signing of the marriage certificate, Nano provided a peaceful, reflective backdrop with live instrumental music—enhancing the intimacy of the moment. From the ceremony styling to the music and spoken words, every detail came together to create a deeply moving and unforgettable beginning to Yasmin and Ross’ new chapter.
With the couple now officially husband and wife, cheers broke out as Nano struck up a lively Gypsy Kings melody. Leah and Sabrina passed out baskets of petals that had been waiting patiently under their seats, and guests showered the newlyweds as they made their way back up the aisle, hand in hand and beaming with joy.
Framed by the garden’s natural beauty, Yasmin and Ross led their guests toward the drinks reception, ready to begin the celebrations surrounded by the people they love most.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to the drinks reception to continue the celebrations with Yasmin and Ross. Under the afternoon sun, everyone was welcomed with free-flowing drinks—including Mia cava, wines, beers, soft drinks, and water—ensuring something for all tastes.
Spanish flamenco guitarist Nano kept the mood light and festive with an uplifting live set, adding the perfect background to the relaxed atmosphere as guests mingled and toasted the newlyweds.
Shortly after, a selection of cold and then hot canapés was served while family photos got underway. Yasmin had provided a list in advance to help coordinate the portraits, with Leah and Tom assisting the photographer in rounding everyone up.
Once the final family shots were taken, Nano wrapped up his performance. With the sun starting to dip and the energy of the day still buzzing, the first call for dinner was announced, and guests slowly began to take their seats for the next part of the celebration.

As the sun began to lower over the finca, guests made their way to the lower garden where dinner would be served. Tables were arranged under the open sky, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for the evening ahead.
Once everyone was seated with a glass of Mia cava or water in hand, the best man stepped up to introduce Yasmin and Ross, who made their entrance to “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole. It was a fun and uplifting moment that set the tone for the dinner.
Before food was served, three speeches kicked off the evening. Rob, Yasmin’s dad, spoke first, followed by Ross, and then Nick as best man. Each shared their thoughts, memories, and thanks—balancing emotion and humour perfectly.
Afterwards, the first round of drinks was served—guests were offered wines, beers, and soft drinks, followed by food service. Children were served first, and then the adults enjoyed a selection of tapas starters before the main course of chicken rice was brought out from the kitchen.
Meanwhile, thoughtful personal touches were added to the tables. Myrthe placed children’s gifts (pink packets and bubbles) for four of the little ones—Aisla, Adalyn, Alex, and Narara—while favours were laid out at the top table and table 2. These included Limoncello, toiletry baskets for the ladies’ bathroom, and QR code cards (seven per table) as part of the evening’s setup.
The dinner space carried the atmosphere with a 150-minute playlist curated by the couple, while the band arrived in the background to begin their setup—preparing for the next chapter of the evening: the party.

As dinner wrapped up, guests were invited back to the upper level to continue the celebrations. With the open bar now running, everyone grabbed their favourite drink and settled in for the next part of the evening.
As the party space began to come alive, Yasmin and Ross slipped away for a few golden hour portraits—capturing a series of quiet, intimate moments just before sunset. Behind the lens was talented destination wedding photographer Calin of Epic Films, whose signature style beautifully preserved the emotion and warmth of the day.
Back at the al fresco dining area, dessert was served: a white chocolate mousse with brownie and vanilla ice cream. It gave guests a sweet pause before the dancing began.
The first dance took place under the lights of the upper pergola, with Yasmin and Ross sharing their moment to “Something About the Way You Look Tonight” by Elton John. Guests gathered around to watch, creating an intimate start to the evening.
Right after, the Wall Street Band kicked off their first live set, getting everyone into the mood. Their second set followed later in the evening, keeping energy high on the dance floor. In between, DJ Fuller began his 4-hour set, mixing crowd favourites to keep guests dancing well into the night. Demian Sax joined in with a two-hour, on-and-off set alongside the DJ, adding a live music vibe to the playlist and keeping the atmosphere buzzing.
Yasmin and Ross cut their wedding cake shortly before the band’s second set began—offering guests a sweet interlude and a moment to reset before the dancing continued. Later in the evening, late-night snacks were served to keep everyone fuelled—simple, satisfying bites that helped keep the celebration going strong.
As the night drew to a close, Demian wrapped up his final sax set, and just after 3am, the music and bar came to an end. Taxis were ready to take guests home, marking the end of an unforgettable day filled with love, laughter, and celebration.
