If the Westin La Quinta Golf sounds like it could be your dream wedding venue, then read on as we reminisce about one of the best weddings celebrated at this venue last season.

The Day—where a celebration of love was brought to life.

The magical day commenced with a traditional ceremony in a quaint church in Old Town Marbella built in the 16th and 17th century. There, on a magnificent day last spring, the lovely bridal couple celebrated an intimate and touching occasion with their nearest and dearest.

After some very emotional vows, the Catholic ceremony ended with Riona and Haydn exiting the beautiful church onto a small cobbled square and into bright sunshine, making for a perfect start to their new beginning as husband and wife.

From there the wedding guests were transported via a private transport service to the grounds of the luxury golf hotel where they were greeted with refreshments and some ambient music and sweet singing by vocalist Kate.

There by the Guadaiza Terrace, as guests were mesmerised by the beautiful, elongated waterfall and recharged by the splendid surrounding flora, a selection of hot and cold canopies were served including: Tandoori chicken pops, braised oxtail mini brioche with kimchi and pickles, mini beef burgers with cheese and caramelised onions, goats cheese with red fruits and caramelised apple strudel with foie gras.

Whilst the wedding guests enjoyed this moment of exquisiteness, Riona and Haydn enjoyed a moment to immortalise the magic of the day with some pre-sunset photos taken by the talented Rebecca Davidson behind the lens.

The Wedding Breakfast—in a setting that exuded charm and elegance.

With a top table beautifully decorated with elegant white table décor the newlyweds, together with their guests, were invited to be seated in a private terrace area complete with a central fountain and distant views to the shimmering blue Mediterranean sea, where all enjoyed the wedding breakfast in comfort and style. There, in this idyllic space everyone was treated to a delicious starter of prawn and mango salad with avocado puree and salted lime crumble or chicken brochette with vegetables and avocado followed by a choice of wild sea bass with green beans, spring onions, peas and saffron sauce or beef tenderloin with carrot purée, potato gratin and mushroom sauce. The mouthwatering feast was finished with a scrumptious dessert of white chocolate mousse with clementine heart and mango ice cream or chocolate velvet with raspberry ice cream, served alternately to the guests.

By the time the meal had finished, the sun had long set and the guests enjoyed a moment of inviting ambiance under the elegant atmosphere of overhead string lights which combined wonderfully with the warm and relaxed vibes of a live saxophonist.

In this dreamy space the emotive speeches were said before it was time to hit the dance floor which commenced with all the guests invited to remain in the terrace to witness the newlyweds, surrounded by dazzling sparkulars, dance their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” mixed into Starship.
