Kimi and Richard’s Stylish Celebration at a Hacienda Wedding in Malaga…
The gorgeously opulent Hacienda was the perfect place for our bridal couple, Kimi and Richard, to hold their nuptials this summer, surrounded by all of their family and friends. Located in the magical province of Malaga, and close to the city bearing the same name, it’s a hidden Andalusian gem that we are excited to share with you.
Sunshine Weddings offers a bountiful selection of destination wedding venues in our role as wedding planners; both on the Costa del Sol and further inland in the south of Spain, as well as on the tranquil island of Mallorca. A Hacienda wedding is a popular choice for a number of reasons, and here are some of the wow factors that make this particular Hacienda shine:
There are several elegant spaces to hold the wedding ceremony within the estate and its buildings. Among which are a number of natural spaces just waiting for the finishing wedding styling touches of a couple’s choice to dazzle all who are gathered – whether that’s a Bohemian or minimalistic theme, or something more altogether more lavish. The Hacienda’s vast and lush green grounds cannot fail to surprise your guests! Mature gardens abound here; there is even a bamboo forest. And decorative fountains, Arab pools and a natural waterfall sparkle in the Spanish sunshine offering the perfect backdrop for those all-important photographic moments.
Then there’s the spectacular and breathtakingly beautiful 1800’s palace, whose period features have been maintained to stunning effect. The palace boasts three dining rooms for smaller, more intimate weddings, as well as a further dining room that’s large enough to hold 90 guests. All in all, plenty of space to cater for celebrations of every size in a truly fairy-tale setting.
As if all of that wasn?t enough, the Hacienda also offers bridal couples two air conditioned glass banquet halls, both of which can hold up to 250 people, and both of which are further enhanced with some wonderfully decorative lighting. Not to forget the vast gardens and patios outside that only add to the montage.
Kimi and Richard’s guests certainly knew how to party in style after a delicious wedding breakfast was enjoyed, some epic speeches delivered, and the cake cut; making the most of the fabulous building and its estate; capturing some unique and amazing wedding memories, courtesy of photographer Jeremy Standley!
And the Hacienda still offers more?
For the venue also features a large heated pergola and an outdoor dining room with enough space for six-hundred people, making seriously large-scale weddings no challenge at all. Add to that the benefit of late night party facilities, meaning guests can continue to dance the night away into the small hours, and it’s clear to see why the Hacienda is an absolute winner when it comes to the most distinctive and exclusive of wedding venues.
The Hacienda is bursting with fascinating history, too, dating back to the 19th century and a Emilia Rebollo de Fort, a local Malaga-based artist of paint and upholstery.
Whilst there may not be accommodation on-sight but just about everything else that a bride and groom’s hearts could desire! With the majestic city of Malaga, and its beauty and culture, very close by. Here there are numerous accommodation options to suit every guest and their needs, from small boutique hotels to beach resorts and the city’s exquisite parador. And, with the Hacienda perfectly located for the bridal party to fly in and out of Malaga airport, or to arrive by train at the city’s station or car via the motorway; this very special wedding venue couldn’t be a more perfect blend of tranquillity and convenience.
Our thanks to Kimi and Richard for letting us help arrange their big day. We wish them many future years of happiness ahead. And our thanks to the wonderfully talented Jeremy Standley for the awesome images.
