Thanks for taking a moment out of your busy schedule Juan, tell us, how did it all begin, how did you get into wedding car hire in Mallorca?

The business was founded in 2008 as a travel agency to provide a platform and coverage. This platform enabled us to have representation within the airport and all over the island.

Back then our main clientele were those booked into self-catering apartments, tourists seeking private accommodation, away from the bustle of hotels. To meet their needs we offered a private, cost-effective airport taxi service to get our clients and their luggage to any point on the island with minimum fuss.

We’ve never charged extra for our “meet & greet” service and our reliability soon gave rise to the organisation of transport for events, congresses and weddings.

What’s your advice for clients thinking about renting wedding car hire?

Firstly, you need to think about if where you are staying, or holding your event is in a ‘restricted traffic zone’.

When I’m contacted to cover the transport for an event or a wedding, I do a complete study of the function. For example, I’ll spend time going over the characteristics of the chosen vehicle, and whether it can enter the wedding venue, and if not, advise which would be the best vehicle for the occasion.

Sometimes it is necessary to contact the City council for permits, especially if we need to temporarily cut traffic or go the opposite way down a one way street to get to our destination.

We are always planning one step ahead, taking care of all the minor details so that everything runs smoothly on the day.

What type of transport hire do you have?

We provide a wide range of private vehicles, airport taxis, luxury limousines, wheelchair accessible vehicles and minibuses.

Our high-end vehicles include: Rolls Royce, Mercedes 320, Audi A6, with a capacity of up to 4 people, making them ideal for couples and bridal couples.

Then for the bridal party we usually use our Mercedes Vito (Normal range) and Viano (High-end). Both with capacity for 8 passengers and we work with a collaborator for transfer service in coaches for 25 up to 84 passengers.

If you had to name bridal couples’ top three favourite cars, what would they be?

In no particular order; BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S-Class or a typical, classic car.

The only issue with our classic car is that it doesn’t go more than 50km/ hr, which means that you can’t take it on the main highway and it can only be used for transport in the same municipality. If the wedding ceremony and reception are held in different towns, another vehicle is needed.

What’s the most romantic wedding transport request you’ve had?

Despite our fleet of cars, perhaps the most romantic request was transporting newlyweds in a horse-drawn carriage.

What’s the most challenging request you’ve ever had to fulfil?

A client wanted to play a joke on his son (the groom-to-be), so he rented our Excalibur automobile which we located outside the church, right in view of the bridal couple as they emerged from the church. But just as they approached the car, obviously thinking it was their wedding transfer to the reception, the driver and one of our female office staff, both incognito as wedding guests, got into the car and drove off, leaving the bridal couple stumped. And then, if that wasn’t enough, as soon as the classic car drove off, we organised for a donkey and a cart to pull up out of nowhere and the newlyweds, much to their mystification, were ushered on and driven around the town square.

By the time the donkey arrived back at the church, the Excalibur was back in position, and the father of the groom couldn’t have been more delighted with how well his joke had been pulled off.

What extra COVID-19 measures do you take?

We care about the safety of our clients and take all COVID-19 safety measures and regulations very seriously.

Each vehicle is disinfected before leaving the garage in the morning. The driver carries gel, and gloves for all customers, or a spray and the areas which are often touched such as the lever to open the door and the safety belt are disinfected after each use.

We only work with experienced, fully licensed and professional drivers who know the island like the back of their hand.

Our drivers for our 4-8 passenger vehicles have a high level on English and will make you feel welcome from the very start, so all you need to do is sit back and relax whilst taking in the sweeping views of this magical island.
