Luxury Wedding Finca Marbella | The Location of Dreams

Kerry and Tom’s Stylish Spanish Wedding

Today’s featured bridal couple, Kerry and Tom, travelled all the way from Essex to the Costa del Sol to meet with us initially at Sunshine Weddings Spain for a venue tour of some of the spectacular wedding properties available in southern Spain. The Finca’s beauty and charm stood out for them immediately, and it was at this dream destionation that they decided to hold their special day, with the ceremony taking place on a sunny day at the end of July this summer.

The Finca
Private Spanish wedding finca.

The Finca is such a unique place. Just a stone’s throw away from the coast, it boasts a wonderfully serene and secluded position inland in the lush green countryside of Andalusia, and yet it is also easily reached by car, around five minutes away from the upmarket and chic resort of Marbella. The venue more than ticks the accommodation box for family and friends who are traveling from afar to celebrate a bridal couple’s wedding. This, in turn, allows for a fabulous atmosphere of convivial and relaxing days in the sunshine, spending quality time together as a group, before and after the wedding day. Indeed, the Finca’s pool is just sublime!

And, for those wishing to be closer to the sea, the nearby and aformentioned Marbella, has some great apartment options, as well as stunning beaches, restaurants, boutique shops, and golf on its doorstep.

As Kerry and Tom’s guests entered the Finca, they were led to the inviting – and private – pool area where they enjoyed refreshing welcome drinks in the shade and listened to the ambient, soft-playing guitar of one of the Costa’s leading musicians, Nano. When we knew that Kerry was on her way from the villa she’d hired close by, all the guests were asked to make their way through to the pretty ceremony area, where they took their seats on the vast green lawns of the gardens, and enjoyed the lively humour of the fabulous Padre Peter amidst the swaying palms and colour pops of the gorgeous wedding decor.

But, of course, it was the bride herself who stole the show. Kerry looked asbolutely breathtaking as she walked down the aisle with her four bridesmaids to a very traditional, romantic Spanish song played by Nano.

The ceremony was magical; a fairy-tale setting enhancing the moment vows were exchanged, and, as Kerry and Tom walked back down the petal-strewn aisle, they were accompanied by the uplifting Flamenco sounds of Nano’s guitar… Which continued as the wedding party moved on to the hall area for eight different types of delicious, and homemade canapes – the favourites being the Mini Steak on Garlic Croutes with Hollandaise Sauce, Tangy Prawn Skewers with Sweet Chilli Dip Sauce, and Herbed Chicken wrapped in Bruschetta with Alioli.

The newlyweds enjoyed their photo session with Talia, and the guests were invited to take their seats in the garden once more, another picturesque backdrop of greenery fringing the table set-up to create an excluded oasis. Here they feasted upon a mouth-watering tapas selection of Spanish Tortilla with Chorizo and Alioli; a selection of Cured Ham, Cheeses, and Breads; Prawn and Bacon Croquettes; Patatas Bravas, and Manchego Cheese and Red Onion Tartlets with a Tapenade.

Following on from that, the main course was served with theatrical flair: a delicious Paella was cooked live in front of the guests for a bit of added wow factor!

After the all-important speeches, bride, groom, and guests made their way to several zones dotted about the garden where there was a cigar bar, a boho-chic chill-out zone for the children, and of course music – as well as a bar with lots of fantastic lighting that further enhanced the Finca’s fairy-tale effect.

All of which further set the stage for an evening of revelry and romance beneath the canopy of the Spanish sky at night, with everybody dancing and mingling into the small hours.

We were thrilled to be a part of this special couple’s big day! We wish them many years of happiness together and we thank them for choosing to plan their wedding with us – just as we thank the super-talented Tali Giraudo for the use of these sensational images.
