Welcome sign, for Jessica & Samuel.

In a private ceremony on the last Sunday of May 2022, Sunshine Weddings was fortunate to be a part of Jessica and Samuel’s exciting, elegant and romantic wedding day—a day that started and ended full of good vibes and plenty of fun.

Join us as we reflect back on a memorable and magical day set in a private finca in Mallorca.

The Finca—the epitome of rustic fairy-tale luxury.

The Finca—the epitome of rustic fairy-tale luxury.

Ideal for holding a medium to large sized wedding only a ten minute drive from the island’s capital city of Palma with easy access to the airport making this rustic wedding venue a very popular choice with many of our bridal couples.

Wedding guests enjoy a moment of easy mingling on the lush green lawn.
The Welcome—a long avenue of slender palm trees.

Complete serenity greeted the guests as they arrived at the typical Spanish finca, an estate which dates back to the 12th Century, and made their way down the long avenue of slender palm trees towards the main house located at the end.

There on the lower lawn, a lemonade stand with original, strawberry and watermelon flavours, had been set up as a refreshing welcome drink to be enjoyed by the guests as they gathered and mingled whilst serenaded by Spanish guitarist Gaizka.

The Ceremony—a unique and special space.

The wedding guests were then invited to be seated in a unique and special space on the vast lawns of the finca’s well-tended garden.

The guests hushed as the bridal entrance music “Canon en D ” de Pachelbel expertly played by Gaizka, sounded and the beautiful Jessica glided down the outdoor aisle to where the handsome groom awaited.

With a Balearic windmill turning its sails in the background, the bridal couple exchanged their vows in the presence of the family and friends and surrounded by an oasis of verdant palms swaying gently in the breeze.

Cocktail reception—a typical Spanish terrace.

Following the wonderful ceremony, guests enjoyed the cocktail reception on Las Palmeras terrace, full of authentic Spanish décor, where a range of rich canape including: crunchy herb crisp with Galician beef tartare, ceviche of sea bass and prawns with guacamole, clouds of parmesan with mushrooms and truffle and crispy nest of quail eggs with tartar sauce to name but a few, were passed around

This idyllic location also made for some unbeatable snaps to be taken for the all-important wedding day album. Sublime shots of the newlyweds in the grounds of the Finca taken by expert photographer Billie.

The Wedding Breakfast—in the shade of the finca’s ancient stone walls.

Shaded by in the finca’s ancient stone walls, the wedding guests were seated for an amazing feast at the hands of Fosh Catering—heavily influenced by Michelin star chef Marc Fosh—who over the years have perfected the art of creating magical gastronomic experiences as served in this wedding breakfast which started with Sea Bream “A la Mallorquina’’ with sherry raisins, tomatoes, spinach and almonds, including a gluten-free and vegan / vegetarian option, followed by Galician Beef fillet with charred spring onions and romesco sauce or a veggie option of open ravioli with mushrooms, truffle cream and confit tomatoes  finished off with a delicious Mallorca almond tart as well as mini vegan and gluten free coconut and strawberry magnums.

Time to Party!—with outdoor and indoor spaces.

As the magical Mallorcan evening light bathed the finca in a warm orange glow the newlyweds cut their bespoke 3 tier cake, frosted in full buttercream and decorated with flowers before it was time to hit the dance floor which kicked-off in style to the upbeat songs played by Mani’s Band from Panela. A lively set which got everyone on the dance floor. After 90 minutes of sensational band music, the musical baton was handed on to a local DJ, Dj Lomusic, who did a great job of keeping the close to 80 wedding guests entertained until the small hours; with the party moving indoors as of midnight where guests were offered a selection of late night snacks; Chicken pasties; mini hamburgers with cheese and vegetarian option and a flow of drinks from the open bar.

At the end of the evening all the guests were then taken, by a private transfer service, back to their respective hotels, safely finalising the most perfect of days in the sunshine surrounded by friends and family.
