A beautiful celebration from dusk till dawn at a private villa wedding location…
Today we are very excited here at Sunshine Weddings Spain to share Lucy and Tom’s beautiful, summer wedding, celebrated last August, at an intimate and luxurious finca set in the picturesque foothills of Mijas Costa in Spain’s Andalusia.
The magnificent Hacienda, where our bridal couple tied the knot last summer, is one of the Costa del Sol’s most stunning wedding venues, considered one of the most luxurious cortijos in the region and makes the perfect rustic villa wedding venue.
Imagine your wedding ceremony laid out in the Spanish countryside with panoramic views of both the beautiful Spanish countryside and the sparkling coastline. It was at this very, fairy-tale setting where the protagonists of today’s bridal story said “I do.”
Amidst the tranquil and serene surroundings, inviting family and friends to share their special day with them, Lucy and Tom’s magical day took place.
A ceremony which started with accomplished guitarist Nano strumming an uplifting flamenco set as the guests gathered and sat under beautiful balinese parasols in the garden area which had been elegantly transformed into a stunning ceremonial outdoor space filled with delicate flowers and foliage, with stunning views to the gardens, campo and hillside beyond.
Finally, it was time for the bride, looking absolutely breathtaking, to make her appearance and join the dashing groom by the outdoor altar set against the shimmering Mediterranean coastline. There, with the rugged mountain-ranges which stretched into the azure sky, an elegantly decorated arbour framed the altar where the bridal couple were joined in a moving service led by Gareth, the Wedding Minister on this special occasion.
The emotive vows were said, the rings exchanged and the marriage contract signed, wonderfully captured by the talented Talia who did a fantastic job snapping all the magical moments of the day.
The newlyweds then walked back down the aisle to “Bamboleo” with Nano once again on vocals and guitar and they joined their guests on the luscious green lawn for selection of wines and refreshments as well as an array of delectable canapes.
Following on from that, the guests were invited to move into the garden, rich with tropical flowers, near the outdoor seasonal swimming pool with the most breathtaking views that the Costa del Sol has to offer, to dine.
For the main course, the wedding guests were offered a fantastic paella dish with chicken and chorizo and a tasty risotto option for the vegetarian invitee, finishing with a trio dessert of: Tangy Spanish lemon tart with vanilla crème topped with lemon zest; Crema Catalana with a crunchy caramel topping with a white chocolate barrita and chocolate mousse with summer fruits and red berry coulis.
The delectable meal led into some pre sunset photos captured by the talented Talia with Kevin on drone before the cake cutting took place under the pergola.
The guests then made their way to the dance floor to witness Lucy and Tom’s first dance as the sun set over this magica finca, and there everyone partied the night away to a catchy DJ playlist with several hours open bar which saw everyone through to 2am.
