Rustic Wedding Venue In Spain…
When Patty and Dairo first contacted Sunshine Weddings Spain they explained they were looking for an authentic rustic and rural wedding venue in Barcelona. As we provide a bespoke wedding planning and venue finding service, we were happy to embark on the search for the bridal couple to help them find their dream wedding venue In Barcelona, and to be a part of their fabulous journey in planning their special day in Spain.
Patty and Dairo flew to meet Elaine, our Sunshine Weddings Spain planner on the ground in Barcelona, who took them on a complimentary Venue Tour to three of their preferred venue choices which had been sent to them via email. The first was a stand alone venue, a stunning old Masia, the other a restaurant & the third also an old Masia with stunning City views with a modern function room for the party to take place. All the venues provided authenticity and were great options for the couples vision they had for their wedding day, however as soon as they saw the stunning grounds of the first Masia, with all its traditional interiors and fairytale gardens, they fell in love and knew this was the wedding venue in Barcelona where they would be saying “I do”.
The wedding planning in Barcelona began and the organising of flowers, food, and most important of all for Patty and Dairo the entertainment. Dairo’s family are all musicians and to make there wedding even more personal, his brother played the piano, whilst his father played the violin and his brothers wife sang during the ceremony. They all played and sang again during dinner providing some wonderful entertainment for all their guests along with a fabulous jazz trio for the aperitivo.
The day of their wedding arrived and as Patty got ready the venue began to take shape and Patty’s flowers were mounted around the ceremony area and table centres designed with a sophisticated purple theme adding to the romance of the day.
Guest arrived from the City in luxury buses and as they walked into the grounds of the Masia they took in the stunning surroundings and wedding scene before them.
To keep the romance running through the theme of their wedding, their close friend Alex, who first introduced the couple, took the wedding ceremony moving all their guests to tears in an emotional but very happy and uplifting service.
Once everyone had dried their eyes the wedding party began with mouth watering canapes and drinks for their reception followed by a sit down feast for all to enjoy until the last drink had been drunk and the final song had been danced.
Patty and Dairo’s wedding didn’t end that day, the following afternoon lunch was prepared in a wonderful restaurant overlooking the Port serving traditional Spanish style food and providing Patty & Dairo and all their guests time to remember the events from the day before and reflect on what a wonderful wedding they experienced in Barcelona.
