When the team at Sunshine Weddings Spain first discussed Erin & Ali’s wedding there was one important requirement that the bridal couple wanted for their wedding venue in Spain, and that was to be able to see the sea.
Many couples choose to get married in Spain because it is only a short plane journey from the UK, and with Malaga now being an international airport it provides easy access for those couples who want to share their wedding in Spain with their nearest and dearest from all over the world. Therefore our bridal couple chose the region of Andalucia, with its stunning countryside edged with costal towns, which sit against the golden sandy beaches and stunning blue waters of the Mediterranean, as their Spanish wedding destination.
With extensive knowledge of the Andalucian coastline, the team at Sunshine Weddings Spain set to work and knew there was only one wedding venue in Spain that Erin and Ali would fall in love with and that was a sea view villa in Sotogrande Spain.
Sleeping 16 guests, this stunning sea view villa in Sotogrande really is one of its kind. so much so, that the owner will only allow 3 weddings a year, proving to be extremely exclusive.
With its Andalucian white washed walls, yet modern gardens, the villa provides an eclectic mix of traditional Spanish culture with a modern twist. The villa has the most incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea and hidden by the national park, which is a preserved area of forestry boarding the property, this wedding venue in Sotogrande Spain, provides complete privacy The grounds are excellently maintained with lawns extending across the gardens making this hidden sea-view villa in Sotogrande a real gem for any wedding in Spain.
Erin and Ali checked into the villa for one week and held their 1st event on Wednesday night before the wedding, where we, as their wedding planners in Spain, arranged exclusive use of a stunning beach restaurant located in a bay near Sotogrande Marina. Guests enjoyed the get together, and start of this secret hide away wedding in Sotogrande, Spain. They ate and drank whilst taking in the views of the calm waters and amazing spectacle of Gibraltar and Atlas mountains in Morroco as the sun set over the horizon.
Erin and Ali’s wedding day in Spain had arrived and all those guests not staying at the stunning sea view villa in Sotogrande were accommodated in a hotel near to Sotogrande Marina, and which was a few minutes ride from the villa.
The procession began and Erin was sung in by a female vocalist as she walked towards her husband to be, Ali, who stood waiting for her at the end of the lawn which looked out to sea.
Behind Erin walked her gorgeous dog who complimented this stunning wedding in Sotogrande and bought a lovely personal touch to Erin & Ali’s day.
Once the ceremony had completed guests enjoyed the Aperitivo made up of cocktails and canapes followed by a lovely gala meal in the garden under the stars.
The music was supplied by a Spanish/gypsy guitarist who came with his sister, a flamenco dancer from Granada.
After dinner a band played and took this stunning wedding in Sotogrande to another level where guests enjoyed partying well into the night.
The next day after guests were rested they all returned to the villa to soak up the alcohol from the night before with a mouth watering BBQ provided by Erin and Ali who reflected on the memories and events of their very special wedding in Sotogrande Spain.
