Fergon Eventos is an events company with more than 10 years of experience in the sector offering services of DJs, live music (artists and bands), sound and lighting, and today we are delighted to feature the main man behind this professional entertainment company, the acclaimed DJ Luís Fergón.

Thanks for joining us today Luis, tell us, how long have you been DJing, where did your passion for music begin?

I have been DJing for about 16 years. However, before I got into DJing I went to a professional music conservatory where I learned to play the trumpet. I remember practising for hours on end in a garage in Menorca, the city where I was born. Practising on my trumpet in the garage is perhaps one of my first memories, something I really enjoyed. I guess you can say that since I can remember I’ve had a passion for music.

At 18, I moved to Mallorca to study and began my career as a DJ in some of the busiest clubs in Palma: “El que faltaba” and “Palma Café Gallery”, where I was a resident DJ, and others like Tito’s, Abraxa’s or BCM where I played on a regular basis.

How did you get into providing wedding entertainment and how long have you been specialising in that in Mallorca?

After years of working in nightclubs and pubs, I decided I wanted to open my doors to working in other areas and so I decided to get into the world of weddings, private events etc… By that point I had a lot of experience behind me and I was also looking to work in a more tranquil and relaxed scene. So some six years ago I started DJing at weddings and private events, and as my experience in that area grew I decided to set up my own DJ promoter business, and so, three years ago, Fergon Eventos was born.

What sets you apart from your competition?

I consider myself to have good vibes and energy when DJing, which I like to think sets me apart a bit, and as a company, at Fergon Events, we are passionate about the challenges and take care of every detail to make the reception party of a wedding fun and one to be remembered by all. We create unique moments thanks to the work and effort of all the components of our team.

We are a team of professionals, experts in providing the solutions that best suit the needs of each bridal couple with a close and personalised treatment in both advice and coordination. We have a passion for detail in everything we do as well as a wide availability of resources which guarantees success and allows dreams to come true.

How extensive is your music library or song list? What genres can you cover?

We have a very extensive music library given that we have done weddings and parties of all kinds, covering all types of requests. So we don’t work in a set style as such, rather we adapt to the needs of our clients.

Five most requested songs?

Like I’ve said, we cover all types of genres, so it’s hard to pinpoint just five songs, but a song from ABBA, Boney M or Kool & the Gang for example never fails.

Most memorable wedding locations and parties in Mallorca?

This is a hard one, there are so many beautiful places in Mallorca and I’ve been fortunate to work in many of them from luxury houses, boats, to some very unusual places….

What do you like to do in your spare time? Hobbies?

My hobbies after playing music are motorcycles, I love to ride and enjoy the tramuntana of Mallorca.
