Beach Wedding In Estepona Spain: We Begin To Plan!

Beach wedding in Estepona Spain.

Anna and Adam, who have been together for ten years and have two young daughters, have been regular visitors to the Andalucian seaside town of Estepona for many years. They love its typical Spanish atmosphere with its long seafront promenade, quaint white-washed village and all the wonderful things to do there as a family. In fact, they love this part of Spain so much that when they contacted us about planning their wedding they said they wanted a beach wedding in Estepona.

There are many fantastic wedding venues with sea views in and around the Estepona area, so we had lots of fun showing them the options available. And as soon as they saw their final choice of venue, with its rolling manicured lawns dipping toward the sea and the smart restaurant with its large terraces with sea views, they knew that they had found the perfect place to tie the knot.

Anna and Adam chose to make turn their wedding into a two week holiday, arriving a week before their big day. The Bride stayed the night before at the Presidential Suite of the nearby five star hotel, Kempinsky, in Estepona. And unbeknown to the Groom, the bridesmaids planned a surprise and booked the same room for the couple for their wedding night.

The day arrived and the venue was bedecked in their chosen pink and white colour theme, with the romantic pergola decorated in white muslin, lilies, pink roses and pink ribbon. Anna looked beautiful walking down the aisle with her brother Dean, who gave her away, and was very nearly outshone by her two pretty daughters in their feather-trimmed bridesmaid dresses holding matching mini-bouquets.

With Adam being a DJ, music was always going to be a big part of the day. As Anna took her first steps toward the altar, a saxophonist appeared at the top of the stairs and accompanied her to the Etta James song ‘At Last’, which didn’t leave a dry eye in the house. And after the couple had said their ‘I Dos’ they walked back down the aisle, hand in hand, to the tune of ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ – which had everyone smiling in the aisles.

The wedding was a big family affair and, as there were many children invited, the couple wanted to make the day just as much fun for them as the grown-ups. With this in mind we helped them lay on all the fun of the fair with face painting, a clown and giant bubble blowing (in fact the bubble show was so spectacular that the performer even had the adults leaving their drinks to watch). Then, as the speeches started after the meal, full time babysitters were on hand to ensure that the kids stayed amused and the parents could relax.

The day was fun-packed from beginning to end, with a photo booth getting the party started as people made their way to the dance floor. Adam and Anna’s first dance was to Otis Reading’s ‘These Arms of Mine,’ and at 9pm as the sun began to fade over the mountains, the guests gathered on the terrace overlooking the sea and’ released large while LED balloons which floated over the ocean and began the evening with a touch of magic. This was such a romantic alternative to the floating lanterns that many couples ask for, but are unfortunately banned in Spain over the summer months due to the fire risks of open flames. Personally, we thought this large white orbs over the sea were a million times more spectacular.

The day turned to night and guests enjoyed plenty of dancing, finished by a midnight surprise of homemade oven fired pizzas. Just want every party goer needs after a great day of celebrations.
It was the perfect end to a fun, family beach wedding in the sun!
